Unplayable
The game suffers of huge frame drops when you open your stats book, it gets slighty better the lower the resultion yet the frame dip is still noticeable. As far as I'm concern there are no fixes for this issue and there probably won't be one.

Seems like fun; wish it would run
This game seems quite interesting and challenging, I just wish it would run. Saying this game is "optimized" to run on Vista is something of an exaggeration. First, save games wouldn't load. So, I tried running the game as administrator. Now, sometimes save games would load and sometimes not; not much of an improvement. Also, the game crashes to desk top randomly. Finally, I just wrote it off as a bad deal and uninstalled it. Maybe I'll try the Xbox version.

certified gog broke
its good its got the right stuff as far as gameplay goes but its a pain in the ass to get running and even more of pain to play stable wise, as always get on a discount because your gonna have to put in the time to make it workable since gog never will.

Has not Aged Well, sadly...
With the innovation Arx Fatalis brought to the RPG table, its a damn shame it has not aged well. The reason being is, all the ideas Arkane Studios formed with Arx Fatalis have been overshadowed by their latest game Dark Messiah. It hard to go back to a studio's previous work when their newest offering is the same price and 10 times better. So for me Arx Fatalis was great when it came out, but Dark Messiah Brings a dark shadow to this old dungeon crawler and smashes the support beams.

A Broken Mess, with a lots of atmosphere
The game is clearly broken, even after applying the Arx Libertatis mod!!! The UI is fighting you, every step of the way, you can easily get into "Dead Man Walking" situations, and it's horribly unbalanced. Procced with extreme caution, and with lots of maps and walkthroughs!!!!!
