Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura

I've always loved Arcanum, from since I was about 5. It's one of the 1st RPG's I had ever played and I still love it to this day. I feel as if it went way underrated during its release, and that's quite sad. The story in itself is a great and epic one, filled with mystery and wonder. It truly does have top-notch voice acting and dialogue. However, the graphics are a bit dull...and not every character has a voice. Despite a few misses here and there, Arcanum is full of wonderous hits. It is a game that any RPG fan should try out...

I've play this game at least once a year since it released and have never gotten bored of it. The music is amazing the story is incredibly rich and depending on your choices you can have a different play experience almost every time. to this day I haven't played a game that even came close to home much I love this one.

The first time I started playing this game, I felt a bit overwhelmed, just enough to get me intrigued. Once I got into it, I loved the game, despite the bugs. The world is huge and open, the character system allows for loads of customization. Took hours of blissful exploration before I was ready to finish and even after the first finish, I had to start right over with a new tack. I would strongly recommend you try it for yourself.

A creative and highly-polished game of which I have nothing but good memories. The story is original, the gameplay is fantastic and I can barely remember a single bug.

I don't have to say much because everyone else has said what this game is about. This, by far, has been my favorite RPG that I've ever played next to actually play pen and paper games. I never played the technological side of the game, but the magic side is very impressive and the cool thing about the game was I wasn't able to ride the train because my magic was too strong and they feared it would overload the train or something of that nature. Small things like that made the game made it feel more "real" to me. Some of the dialogues in the game, and the little Easter eggs are wonderfully done. One of my favorites was using the summoning sword with maxed magic :) I wont say what happens but I got a good laugh out of it. all in all, I bought this game when it first came out and would gladly pay 6 dollars more to have it again. Thank you gog.com for adding this jewel. All RPG developers should learn from example from this game to make better games and stop relying on graphics and DLC's.
