What's cool about it:

  • The thrilling conclusion to the Blackwell series.
  • Longest Blackwell game yet.
  • Two player characters with unique abilities – switch between ghost Joey and living Rosa.
  • Original musical score and a full voice-over.

Overview:

A dead man’s soul cries out against the force of a ferocious blizzard. He cries for help. He cries for answers. Then he screams as he is torn apart like damp tissue paper. This wasn’t the first time, and it won’t be the last.

The police are powerless to stop it, so the duty falls to the only ones who can. What force could be so powerful – and so malevolent – that it would destroy the very core of a life in order to get what it wants? Rosa Blackwell and Joey Mallone mean to find out, even if it means risking themselves in the process.

The Sad and Brilliant Blackwell Finale

Posted on 2014-04-24 09:45:08 byGnome.682's avatarGnome.682:

Yes, Wadjet Eye Games, did manage to end its Blackwell series in the most impressive way imaginable. With a perfect finale and a gorgeous final episode (that can easily be enjoyed by newcomers to the series).
The writing is excellent, the stakes higher than ever, everything gets wrapped up satisfyingly and, sadly, this excellent adventure series is now over.
An absolute must-play and the best Blackwell game to date.

WoW

This series is actually AMAZING. I think it is one of the best adventure games in years! It's well written, it's emotional, it's interesting, with nice twists and although it's not hard to finish, the investigation puzzles are nice. Do not play the last episode if you have not played the others. First, you wouldn't understand the game, second you'd miss most of its beauty. Also, read more in my opinion, this is not the best episode of the series. What I specifically did not like is the part coming right before the final scene. It seemed a bit, how to say, rushed (SMALL SPOILER: I refer to the rooftop scene).
This said, grab them all and play them. It is a wonderful experience

A great ending to a great series

Really, the review title says it all. When I bought the first four games in a bundle, I had no idea what I was in for. The games were a thrill ride of horror, drama and fun, and the Blackwell Epiphany is no different. Dave Gilbert has really outdone himself with this last entry in the series. I'm not gonna spoil anything but this: at the end, you will be bawling your eyes out.
Itread more is said to see this great series come to an end, but at least it goes out with a bang.
