disi: I can never recruit new squad members, because we are always full. How do you send a potential new companion straight to the Citadel without dismissing any of your current squad members?
An easy solution is to disband one of your 3 NPC temporary, and then ask him to re-join the band disbanding the new one.

disi: I never tried that, do they not beam away and I need to travel back to the Citadel to get them back? At the least they would get upset?
You can do this when your "in-game team" is far from exit grid. It'll allow to run after disbanded member before he/she will leave location.

You should avoid spoiling things for the folks who want to find things for themselves.

disi: Honestly, this was the most frustrating part of the game. Usually you enter an area and can go anywhere as long as you've got the firepower. In this case you are killed by super-weapons at some stage, until you left the area and completed an unrelated other quest first. If this helps someone to avoid this pain, so be it.
There is a big warning in the quest update when you got close to the turrets. All your NPC will say something close to "F%$%C you! that is a deathtrap". The Skorpion's leader dare you to enter the death zone, And .... you can see clearly the insane HP of those things.

My conclusion is: Welcome to the old school.

Not sure why you are so bent on spoiling things for others, particularly given the title of this thread. People that haven't yet played the game may come in to see whether the game is in a playable state now, and then get spoilered hard. Everybody who have suffered such a fate know how infuriating that can be. Please edits your posts, at least with a "SPOILER WARNING" at the top, so people can choose to not read it.

it makes no sense to do this

the stuff you had in your posts was helpful for people who might want it, you just need to add spoiler tags
