It is expensive to play on a computer. I am truly sorry for you than nobody explain that to you before you buy that game, because that's THE issue of all pc gamer. I'm not talking only about this game, and believe me or not but TW3 is well optimize.
Even, this is almost impossible to run a new gen game with a computer under 500$ :-/
WiccanCharm: It was actually a laptop that was worth 600 and when I played The Witcher 2 on it, it ran perfectly. I even had little problems with the infomous Kayren fight mouse glitch that upset a lot of people. Just now that it's over 5 years old, the new game ran like molasses. The reason I prefer PC gaming is that, well, it USED to be that you didn't have to keep upgrading to a new one like every year or so. -Xbox, nintendo, Playstation, and Wii are all game sysetems that get outdated too fucking quickly, so then you have to spend even more money buying an updated one. That to me is bullshit. -But now it appears the gaming indrustry realized that people were still playing on PC games for that very reason, and not buying their expensive game systems on a yearly basis, so the gaming indrustry got dollar signs in their eyes yet again and decided to make it so people would have to pay a hell of a lot more on gameing laoptops in order to continue playing the games they love.

Ah yes cosmetic issues.............. such as not being able to tell if DLC has been downloaded or not. Not sure what your need for hostility is and I certainly said nothing in my post to deserve your rant just letting you know that I as a user have not experienced the problem that is you and your laptop!!!!!!
