I actually never saw the baroness' tits. The dude was there the executioner, but because I didn't go down and around, I walked into them as they were leaving the interrogation room.

Xealot42: I think that proves if you don't get it by the start of chapter 1 then you missed the chance. Did you kill Aryan in the prologue? I did and didn't get the extra capacity either even though I looted everything I could find in the dungeon.
No, I let aryan live in the prologue. I also told the newguy that his amulet was magic but I didn't know if it would protect him so he used an armor and survived.
Yes in my playthrough Aryan and that other guy survived (kept the amulet) as well.
In TW1, Triss conjures up a steak with pees and whatnot for Adda.

Why can't she conjure up magical storage for Geralt, huh???
I'm finding it rather hard to stay at 250 with all the stuff you can pick up. Spend all your money on crafting only to not need it to get rid of items and sell it. It would be nice if you could craft this shit yourself.
There is a "cheat" to give you more space, NicoDe over at WoP postet how to do it:
1. Get the attachment from here: http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/showpost.php?p=16153026&postcount=17
2. Edit the file&find: <max_weight mult="false" always_random="false" min="250" max="250"/>
3. Change min="" max="" to the value you like (both should be the same up to 10000)
4. Copy CookedPC folder into your Witcher2 installation (merge) and start game

All credits go to NicoDE at WoP one thing I might note:

If you gained the extra weight after the prologue it might be safer to set min="9900" max="9900" because 10000 seems the max value and there are items which also give small bonuses. Personally I set min="750" max="750" gaining +50 from prologue and +5 from gloves totaling 805. To uninstall just delete the abilities folder in CookedPC.
I have a pretty good strat for this thing to have every thing, don't get overweight and not using points on this uselless ability..... just carry 10 of each item... sell the rest, in chapter 3 u might need to have 5 of each, but genually? u don't need more.
Odd... I saved Aryan and carried him out of the prison, but Geralt still can't carry more than 300 pounds.

That's right. If you had killed him you would only have 250.

True: I just checked, and I did collect the "Strong back" attribute.

Reason I was confused... all these posts from people saying they're carrying 150%-300% of their capacity, whereas I was seemingly unable to pick up anything that weighed me down over 300.
Don't know if there is actually a maximum, though I wouldn't want to be overweight for long.

I did have some luck at the start of Chapter 1, where I was overweight after gaining back all my inventory after the dungeon, and wanted to keep it to sell. But I just couldn't get through all the elves without being able to maneuver properly. So, I dropped a large kit of stuff on the road, finished guarding Tess and then went back after I reached Flotsam. It was still there, along with all the loot from the killed elves!

So, luckily, I had quite a bit to sell to gain some orens.

I found that it's hit and miss if dropped loot stays for long on the ground. Sometimes it does, and sometimes not. Don't know what the actual parameters are for that.
Have several options. Can use a mod to reduce the weight of books, diagrams, etc. or
you can have Geralt's carry weight be increased from 250 to 500. Myriad of options here...
http://www.witchernexus.com/index.php
You can also play the game and do quests to have your weight limit increased.
There are actual quests that increase weight?
If you save la Vallet sone you will have +50
