It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

cjrgreen: The pause at 9602MB is correct.

I was worried about it, too, so I went into the downloader's folder to see what it had done before pausing.

It downloads all the chunks of the 5 binary files that you can download individually, then it pauses. I verified that the downloaded chunks are identical to the binary files (once you concatenate them).

Presumably it will resume the download, and combine all the chunks, when the completer file is released on the 17th.
Sounds about right...

A bit annoying for me, as I'll be playing it on another PC, and will have to transfer all 9.whatever GBs to it on release day. :-)

...or, I could just engage my brain, and re-download it all to that PC!

:-D

9602/9723 MB for me also.

Seems like it's meant to be that way, judging from the replies here.

Glad to hear I was not the only one. ;-) Now for the 17th!

sure no problem with that at all.
I can't get the game to download at all. It is stuck on paused. Is this correct or do I have a problem?

if the download is at 9602mb then that is the pre-load size, on release day you will get the remaining 121mb for the installer .exe file. if not at 9602mb there may be an issue.

I wrote "how to" in another thread here.

I am sure its pretty straight forward the same way in your case.

Thats the problem. It is still at 0%. I am running the downloader as administrator but it stays on paused. I notice I can't get The witcher: enhanced edition to download from it either.

Have you tried hitting the resume button? and have you allowed it to access the internet through your firewall?

I had the same problem, was caused by the antivirus solution I use (Avira). Some of them come with a built-in firewall. E.g. Avira has Webguard which blocks the download URLs within the GOG Downloader. Thats something you will not get a message about and it will stay at 0%.

I have Avira. Let me try see if I can add it to the firewall exceptions. What URL's do I need to add? I added it to the firewall but still stuck at 0%.

I added it to the firewall but it made no difference. Still won't download.
Same problem here with Avira/AntiVir (Premium). Temporary solution:
- move the mouse to the little Antivir (umbrella) bottom icon
- right click on it to see the options/info list
- click on "Antivir Webguard Enable". This will disable (checkbox will disappear) the Webguard feature and seconds later the Gog downloader will start to download.
- Turn it on again later.

While the webguard feature is disabled, be careful while browsing the web, preferably visit only known/trusted sites/URLs.
