It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

rhyoden: Have you tried hitting the resume button? and have you allowed it to access the internet through your firewall?

CesFulcrum: I added it to the firewall but it made no difference. Still won't download.
hmm you sure you using the latest version of the gog downloader? have you tried removing the downloads from the downloader and re adding them?
I do have a 8mo/s connection and usually can download at a 650 ko/s speed, but for gog, I can hardly go over 100 ko/s.

Conclusion : gog servers are definitely slooooow. :(

Will take me 3 days to download the whole thing. :(((

you can try opening more connections i'd try 2 in the options, I get 1MB/s from their servers which is my max. Never had any truoble at all hitting it.

MAXLD: Same problem here with Avira/AntiVir (Premium). Temporary solution:
- move the mouse to the little Antivir (umbrella) bottom icon
- right click on it to see the options/info list
- click on "Antivir Webguard Enable". This will disable (checkbox will disappear) the Webguard feature and seconds later the Gog downloader will start to download.
- Turn it on again later.

While the webguard feature is disabled, be careful while browsing the web, preferably visit only known/trusted sites/URLs.
I will try that. Busy playing Football Manager 2011 so it should be fine to disable it for a little.

Thanks for the hint. I tried, and it failed. I had 6 connections and switched to 2, but there was alas no evolution : still at 80-100. :/

I check to see if there is a newer version but the webguard seems the best bet.

oh I thought you were only using 1 connection so suggested another to try and max the download. must just be your location then, at lest that is all I could think.
Adding the correct exception for Avira is a pain. I will add the procedure for information purposes only. The easier way is definitely disabling webguard while downloading.

If you really want to, what you need to do is the follwoing:
1. Close all open programs that might try to access the internet on their own, especially Firefox etc. Also close the GOG Downloader.
2. Open Avira and go to the online protection part (Online Schutz) and select Webguard. There is a "last checked URL" (Letzte überprüfte URL:).
3. Start GOG Downloader and switch back to Avira, checking to see if the last checked url changes. Mine e.g. said http://wpc.11df.edgecastcdn.net/something/something/witcher2/part_something. This is the download URL that is actually blocked and also the reason why simply unblocking www.witcher.com or www.gog.com will not help.
4. Copy the URL from the last checked URL location (select with mouse and cut/paste as usual)
5. Still in the same Avira Web Guard window hit the upper right configuration button
6. Go to "Web Guard" and Search (Suche), then select "Exceptions" (Ausnahme).
7. I strongly suggest to read the help at this point
8. Paste the copied URL in the appropriate entry box where URLs can be exempt (it is the lower one, not the upper one). But make sure to cut some of it. E.g. the .../witcher2/part_1_something should be cut down to .../witcher2/* (with an * at the end). Else you would only unblock part 1 of the download and the other 4 parts would get blocked again. Hit the "Add" (Hinzufügen) button, then ok and you are done.
9. Check the GOG downloader, mine started downloading within a minute. Else try restarting it.

Best regards
Shawk
I don't like download clients so I always, this time too, download stuff from GoG via browser.

I really hope that the last 121 mb are going to be packet alone, so I can download them tomorrow.
