CyberTails: I uploaded the fixed soundtrack to Mediafire as a backup mirror: Mediafire Link

Hope that helps my fellow Rayman Fans ^_^
Apparently both rapidshare and medafire are pieces of shit and delete your files if they have not been downloaded in a certain amount of time. Uploaded to divshare *as well*, which markets itself as not deleting files... As if that's a plus for it instead of a minus for every other damn file storage site. Link below:

it works but...
i want my sega saturn version back, the blue thing sound was better, every level played their own track, the graphics are ok, but i payed the 5.99, i kinda regret it just because of that, even if the download includes a separate full soundtrack(all 50 tracks in mp3 format)
i dont know how to feel
Just a quick ignorant question that I really wanted to ask... What happened to that musical chime when you get those... Blue orb things? I think that really added charm to the game...

They just nost exist in the PCs version of the game.
As we statued before, this is the PC version of the game, which has a different soundtrack than the consoles' one.

Lafazar: That is a nice idea, but I seriously doubt that the melodies would play in the places they were intended to be played. How did you decide which songs to put where? It sounds pretty random to me...
This was the complete soundtrack of PC Rayman before they cut the soundtrack in Rayman Forever. All of the music for each world (excluding the boss music tracks) was mixed into one track on the PC version of Rayman. It is not the same as the PSX/Saturn versions.

This may come as a shock to you, but the PC version is not the same as the PSX version.

Yeah, the feel is much better in the PSX and Saturn versions. You can run the PSX version in ePSXe, which is almost identical to the Saturn version but for the background changes. But it features more effects (fog) and better sound.

LuigiTime1221: Just out of curiosity, are any of these files playable on an iPod? I'd love to get the full soundtrack on it.
Use the soundtrack extra you got with your download. It includes the original CD tracks of Rayman that were featured on the PSX and Saturn versions (all of the PC tracks and more). :)

LkMaxBr: Wait, I still have the impression that this soundtrack is not the full one... All Jungle stages, for example, have the same track. Are the PS1 and PC soundtracks different or what?
Most are different.

Dylstew: My original CD rom of gold didn't loop the whole thing like that,It actually played different songs on different levels.
I never heard the normal jungle theme on the grow plant/water level on rayman gold.
And I never heard the boss music on the first jungle level because I was standing still for a while. I also remember the jumgle levels using embient jungle noises more and the second jungle theme... so Something's still wrong.
It's really annoying to hear the wrong music everytime. I'd rather turn the music off(I'm used to that because when I had rayman gold, after a while the music stopped working on my XP PC)
What region did you use?

yeah the problem is ithe psx version is easier since the cages are already revealed insted of you having to go to certain places before they appear, and the sega version is almost impossible to play because there are too many configurations and if not done correctly you can not play and guess what? have not found how to exactly configure it
and for now i think this version will do but to be honest they(gog) should have made a port of the psx or sega version to the pc i mean the version they sell is a modified/ported dos version right?
-_- i still dont regret having purchased the game from gog, since i still enjoy and i can pass the extra effects and the mod for the sound makes it feel a whole lot better
This thread is kinda old, but my 2 cents.

I hate to admit it, but I am feeling a buyers remorse with this. Just knowing that this version isnt the authentic experience kind of kills the buzz for me.

Ill search around on the web. Maybe somebody has made a mod for this which adds the PSX musics/sound effects to this version. But again, this isnt even close to the original experience. And c'mon Ubi, it wouldnt have been hard at all to simply emulate the PSX version with PC mappings >_>

The divshare link doesn't seem to be working. Might just be me. Every time I hit download and wait the 15 seconds, it just loops back to the original page. Any advice?
same for me here... :/
Same here
Yup, the divShare link looks broken. But there is a MediaFire link, on page 2 of this thread, which is working (I just downloaded the archive minutes ago).

Hope this helps!

There's a divshare link just a few posts up on this page of posts. Suggestion to all: just try all the links until you find one that downloads a rar archive. It might be a good idea for someone to upload this to a non-file hosting site so that it's permanently available.
True, thanks, now I have it. I was waiting to download it before buying the game. Time to play Rayman!
