Prince of Persia 3D that I own on CD doesn't work on Windows 10 even though it ran on this very machine when it was windows 8. All it does now is briefly appear as a background process in the task manager before vanishing from the TM and ceasing to function; it doesn't even load.
This is extremely frustrating because it used to work fine on Windows 8 and not even the compatibility modes help here. I have found nowhere that provides a fix for this and since it isn't on GOG or Steam (because it's rather sub par compared to the 2D games before it and the Sands of Time Trilogy), I can't just download a working one easily.
The link here below is where I got a patch that I thought would fix Prince of Persia 3D not running on my system, however it doesn't work: nothing changes after applying the patch, and I even scanned it and my system with Malwarebytes to make sure it wasn't fake.

It contained no threats and the system scan found nothing, so the patch isn't a Trojan, it's just defective.
Anyone have any advice that can help me get this running? Even safe downloadable versions that actually function will work.
I tried the Dreamcast port on Null DC and I found it too clunky (despite the original being clunkier) and it uses @save crystals" ala Tomb Raider 1 that are too few and far between so I don't think I'll use that one.
I would like solutions for the PC version only please.
