MarkoH01: You as well as Alcator.504 are both using th esame gamepad.

Alcator.504: I'm not using a gamepad. I honestly don't know where any of you got the impression that I was using a gamepad.

I'm trying to play this on a keyboard.

I'm going to give this at most two more tries:
1. I will try it again without a controller.
2. I will try it with the Steam controller.
Sorry, I confused you with Eartydude bcause he posted inside the thread you created before you created this one. Now I remember that you are playing with keyboard and mentioned how you tried every key.

But maybe the latest fix still helped you as well. Fingers crossed.

Well, it didn't. I picked the Indian hairdress, and the game froze again :-(

But that means that you don't experience the "waking up" error anymore at least. Does the error persist after a reload? (Now you should have at least an autosave so no need to go through the tutorial again).

That freezing is the "final frontier" of my bug reports. It's the most elusive one but I'm about to the bottom of the list so time to tackle it. I've seen it happen. Same place. First time picking up an item triggers it. I've started the game in different places and reproduced it as well. Once the item is picked up, it seems there's like a 5% chance or something of a freeze a second or two later. This narrows it down to a few different things. Inventory is updated immediately so I don't think it's actually related to that. I'm leaning towards the hint system and some kind of error pulling text or graphics to generate the hint. Will solve it soon.

Again, sorry you guys had to be test subjects. I really did do a lot of debugging before launch, just didn't have enough people to test.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but at least in the actual version I found another gamebreaking bug.
