Aliasalpha: The problem is that the colour selection panel is curiously offset. If you click a row or 2 ABOVE the area where the boxes end (as in the whole panel, not 1-2 rows above your chosen colour), you can actually get the right colour, its as if the graphic for the selection panel is pushing the ACTUAL selection panel upwards. I know I've had this in the past and I also know I didn't just play the game pretending that I was playing the silver surfer. Shall report back if I get something workable
Cactusgod: Wow you're right....this is actually a temporary fix. By clicking wayyyy above the colors, I'm actually getting the correct skin tones hahaha. Very weird! Thanks for the tip! The odd thing is that the silver texture is supposed to be a hidden value, in the toolset (or the old days or in the toolset IN the old days, I can't remember) you had to click BELOW the selection box to get it and the other chrome/metallic stages and pure black/white
Just wasted 300mb trying the critical rebuild patch, not compatible with this version of NWN (Thats because it was the one for original NWN, not for the one with the expansions you doofus)
The latest Nvidia drivers didn't help either BUT they do now have a "Perform clean install" option which is long overdue
.
Solutions, I haz them!
http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch_english_hotu.html install that. Its 325MB but downloads from a good fast server and massively expands the colour selection box, guess where the normal skin tones show up? Somewhere right around the body selection tool.
I suspect the GOG version has a slightly corrupt file somewhere, shall shoot them an email with the solution but this should work as a fix in the meantime
Oh and to answer the question that someone will be thinking, they removed the CDcheck from the game with patch 1.68 (might have been earlier) so it won't go asking you for a disc or anything
