Dandahockeyman: Spelunky in my Steam library is shown as installed on GOG 2.0 when it isn't.
I had the same problem with, like, SIXTY games :P
What you have to do is install and then uninstall. That's it. Or, actually, you can just start the install process and then cancel it. It'll work too. (I'm so glad I found that out for some of those ~50GB games)
How can I add a game that is not in any platform? For example League of Legends? Haven't found it anywhere
When I launch Prey (2017) on Steam there's a pop up window asking whether I want to play Prey or Mooncrash. Meanwhile Galaxy launch base game so it doubles the time to switch to Mooncrash. I hope its gonna be fixed soon cause it's a massive pain.

I just noticed the same problem with War of the Roses: Kingmaker on Steam. Galaxy thinks it's installed when it's not. In fact, I've never installed it. I think I got it either free or in some bundle.

Meanwhile it seems to not see any Origin games as installed when I do have a handful that are (e.g. The Sims 4).

The changelog mentions that that isn't available yet

Can someone explain me hox exactly the invitation works? Cause it definitely doesnt work like "Once the beta launches, we'll start sending invitations on a first come first serve basis. You'll need a GOG account to participate in the BETA." this.

This would mean, invitation e-Mails are sent out to everyone and the ones who access it first get the launcher...
But that would mean that i should have e-Mails from gog in my inbox which i dont have !

Its NOT "we'll start sending invitations on a first come first serve basis" !

they manually send small amount of invitations every day, most people are still waiting for their invitation. even if you subscribed to beta participation month ago there's very slim chance to get an invitation soon. people I know (or me) haven't got their invitation yet so I'm not even sure if they send it to someone besides youtube influencers, journos and other related to gaming industry people.

It's been great so far, I have 2 suggestions:

- Follow Plex's approach and allow people to add cover agents. That way we can right click edit on a game cover and select within all the diffferent covers detected by the agents. Please look at how Plex does it, it has it very nailed down.

- We should be able to stack games from different launchers instead of them appearing twice in the game list. For example if we own Witcher 2 in both gog and steam it should only appear once in the game list, and only if I click on it I will be displayed that I can actually play it in 2 different platforms and allow me to choose.

Thanks for your reply,

but this would support my point. They clearly don't serve on a first come first basis.... They have to inform us about that, its unfair. Just call it Closed Beta or whatever, this first come first thing makes people crazy and you have to check your mails all the time..

I got my invitation today and I'm not an influencer or something else.
I would like to see a game counter on every bookmark. Also I really don't like that game counter on "All games" includes hidden games.

good for you, congrats! my friends from steam getting impatient and demotivated by lack of invitations, I hoped this galaxy thing can bring more users to gog plafrom but the way gog handles this invitation process it proves to be hard to talk friends into it if they don't have their shiny app yet. I see it as missed opportunity for gog, and that's sad, because I want more of my friends to use gog.
Hey everyone,
This might be a stupid question but I've just hidden a game in my library and I can't find how to un-hide it?
I know this is still in beta, but suggestions after having only installed it about 30 min ago:

I'd like to be able to configure the library view so I can see titles *under* the cover art rather than just on it; it's hard to make out titles sometimes. I don't see any way to configure the library at all, so if I wanted to arrange by recently played or recently installed, I couldn't do that, nor could I see a list rather than covers, or some other arrangement.

For a big library like mine, maybe letters down the side of the page I could click on, like some music and video apps have? Or if I press a letter on the keyboard it would jump to the first instance of that letter in the library, which every other library I have does?

Under the summary on the main page, it just says "One game added" but doesn't tell me what the game actually is, same for minutes played (screencap attached).

Personally, I don't feel "Recent" is a good name for that page. I know it lists a bunch of recents: Recently played, recently added, etc. but that seems like more of a "home" screen. I looked all over for a Home tab, a summary page which I prefer for a landing page, but couldn't find one. The Recent page doesn't provide enough for that, there just isn't enough there.

The filter icon at the top of the library page is unusual, I wasn't sure what it was. I don't recall if that was in the original as 2.0 seems to have overwritten it (having them in parallel to compare would have been nice), but when I click on it, in the drop down menu it appears to be referred to as 'Status,' not Filter. So there are multiple terms being used for the same thing, a big no no in interface design.

On the individual game pages, I feel like "Overview" and "My Progress" could be consolidated onto one screen. There's also no link to the store page for a specific game. Lastly, where it gives the critic rating, like "Critics score: 80/100," which critics gave that score? How is that score derived? Maybe the page could link out to various reviews, or have snippets of user reviews on the game page? The game pages themselves, for games in the library, are very sparse.

I guess that's enough for now.

Steam games dont work for me, I can see all of them install all of them, but even when they are installed, there is no play just install, clicking it does nothing.

Xbox section dont support play anywhere games, I have Forza Horizon 4 and no way to actually launch it through Galaxy on pc.

Other than those two issues its good.

eisberg77: One suggestion. Make GoG Galaxy 2.0 be able to control it with a controller. Why? I would love to use GoG Galaxy 2.0 as the launch pad through Steam Link, basically make it like big picture mode. You won't need to do anything else with the Galaxy other than make it controllable with a controller, don't need to do anything else in order to make it work through Steamlink since Steamlink is just mirroring through LAN anyways, even what is on the desktop.

Would be much easier to run all games I have from all platforms when using Steamlink if I had one platform that has all my games showing up on one screen. So please allow controller control on Galaxy 2.0.

Matthew94: Agreed, if they want this to be an all-in-one solution then this should be supported. It's probably work well enough with the existing grid view.
Some sort of steam link support or Big Picture style interface would make GOG Galaxy perfect for general use.

I play on pc mostly, sometimes from my couch, someone from my desk (depends on the game). A coherent TV type interface is quite an important feature these days in my opinion.

To add to that, a type of Netflix and YouTube app integrated to the client would make it perfect.
