Ubivis: Hahahaha... me too :) our IT always tells me to reboot the computer... even when I exactly told them what is wrong with my computer. Even when I said, that my browser is crashing everytime I open up a specific site (need this side for my work), they only tell me: Reboot and look if it is working now.... hahaha, after about 6 months with the same problem, do they really think I never shut down my work computer? ;)
The classic example here is when a printer stops working (i.e. it's lost its connection to the network). Fuj ... I mean, our IT Support have to send an engineer in a week's time. The person who made the call sticks a piece of paper on the printer with a note stating, "Out of Order - Support Ticket Raised". Sometime later in the day, I wander over to the printer to collect my documents, see the sign, switch the printer off, switch it back on again, print my documents ...
