Here's your chance to grab two excellent real-time strategy titles 66% off! and [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/soldiers_heroes_of_world_war_ii]Soldiers: Heroes of World War II sadly need to be pulled from the list of actively sold games in our catalog due to licensing issues. This will happen on Monday, 9:00 AM GMT. Until that time both titles are available for $3.39 each, so anyone interested in them may consider buying them now and backing up their downloaded copies. We're sorry if this causes you any inconvenience and we assure you that we're working on getting them re-listed again as soon as it's possible.

Perimeter delivers top-notch RTS gameplay in otherworldly setting and spices it up with many original ideas. The game was praised for its innovativity both by critics and GOG.com users. "Every now and then, someone delivers a game that's completely unlike anything seen before. Perimeter is just such a game."--GameSpot wrote in its review, giving it a nice 82% score. Our user, Alteisentier, spoke highly about the game's narrative: "The story is truly a unique experience, that will capture your mind and imagination in its grip, showing you a high level of originality that is unexpected in such games." With the unparalleled gameplay depth provided by the terraforming and nanomorphing mechanics, a fearsome foe born of humanity's worst nightmares, and a brave new world to conquer, Perimeter is a true hidden gem of the RTS genre.

If you prefer a realistic setting for your war effort you should take a closer look at Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. This historically accurate squad-based tactical RTS offers a fully interactive environment and gives you total freedom to gain victory in any way you see fit. The Armchair Empire reviewer said that "tends not to dwell on the exact tank movements of a certain battle in hopes of achieving one hundred percent accuracy. Instead, it focuses its gameplay on real life events albeit with some artistic flair." and gave it a whooping 85% score, while our user Scribe praised the game's physics engine for being "fantastic and very satisfying. Fire an armour piercing shell at the front of a Panzer and it will ricochet off and shatter a tree. Fire one at the back, at the vulnerable engine and fuel tank, and the turret will pop off like a cork and crush a nearby soldier." This title comes complete with an official map editor, so you can extend your time with it indefinitely.

To sum things up: and [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/soldiers_heroes_of_world_war_ii]Soldiers: Heroes of World War II will temporarily disappear from GOG.com catalogue and you have time until Monday, 9:00 AM GMT to grab them 66% off and secure your backup copies!

Once again, we're sorry for any inconvenience this may have cause you!
Did Codemasters fucking blow up or something? Jesus...

So they will not be available as download later? Or there will be still hidden downloads for their owners?
Thanks for the headsup!

I'm assuming that the contracts with Codemasters are expiring and they just aren't opting to renew.
LOL, I just bought these for the full price one or two days ago (along with some other Codemasters GOG games) because I was pretty sure they would disappear soon.

Doesn't matter, I'm still happy to get them.

I think this is a cunning move, really. Codemasters might have asked GOG to pull the game immediately this week, but GOG is going all "We're sorry, we don't work on weekends. We'll pull the games first thing in Monday morning. Whoops, I just pushed the 'emergency weekend promo button'. Don't worry, we'll also take care of that in Monday morning." :D

Yeah, wtf is going on with these licenses?

Fantastic: If I remember correctly, there were promos for some racing games from the Codemasters catalogue (Conlin McRae Rally 2005 and TOCA Race Driver), before they removed them from GOG.com
Nice that they were able to give a warning then as well as this time. I know it's not always possible, but it's certainly nice when it is.

In that case, they're kinda being dicks eh?

I'd be interested in knowing this as well.
When I heard Second Sight was being pulled I asked if there was any danger of losing the rest of Codemasters games. After this, my concern has increased. I intend to buy 1nsane, I.G.I. 2: Covert Strike and Sensible Soccer 2006 but I'd rather not pay full price. While the heads-up on Second Sight and these other two are great, GOG might not have the same luxury when the hammer drops on the rest. Should I buy them now at full price or risk missing out on them altogether waiting for a warning discount?

adambiser: There was a "possibly goodbye promo" for JoWood, but luckily, they stuck around.
To my understanding JoWood is gone either way, we were lucky that Nordic Games who took over their IPs (at least some of them) agreed to keep these games on GOG.

Games that disappear from the catalogue do not disappear from your account. Don't worry about that.

Right, that's what I meant. "They" meaning the games, not JoWood. I wasn't very clear.

Lexor: snip
You can download these games later if you own them on your account .
This maybe a stupid question but if I buy Perimeter now, will I always be able to download it from GOG after the game disappears from it?
