GOG.com: ...
Hmm, I notice on the store page it says "Full controller support". Can anyone confirm to me whether it really is full controller support or just 360 controller support? Full controller support would mean supporting any directinput controller rather than just xinput.

reaver894: looks like more generic shovelware to me.
Hmm by the look of the video I think they are using a pick to dig with rather than a shovel :P

Actually it looks kind of cool. Just a shame platformers really aren't quite my forte, I think because I'm rubbish at running and jumping. Still I might pick it up.

On second thoughts I might wait a while, not likely to play it in the short term and forgot I have to add 15% for exchange rate

Whoa! I can't believe I almost missed it. With a free game, two promos, Eschalon 3 I somehow didn't see it yesterday. And it looks so good it fully deserves an instabuy!
Wish listed for now. Never played a puzzle platformer before and I like the style of this one.
Just recently I finished this one on 3DS and it's a great game. I foud it very addictive, not so difficult (altough i died a lot) and really fun to play. Also the steampunk feel just adds to it.

I can't recommend enought that you give it a try! =)

Frelling xinput.

Dear Microsoft,

I went through all the trouble and expense to build a computer for gaming because I am so enamored with consoles and I hate having more than one hardware option to chose from. Please enjoy this sarcasm as a token of my gratitude.

Sincerely,

ENR

P.S. Your controller feels like holding a hoagie.

Ahh bollocks.

GOG, if the game really doesn't have full controller support, can you not claim it does?

They didn't. When this happens I use the old freeware version (not the newer retail version) of xpadder to emulate xinput to play using my directinput gamepad and it's all gravy. You can find a link to download it here.

So put THAT in your juicebox and suck it, Microsoft!

I was talking about the store page.
Steam World invaded GOG?

The end is nigh!

Thanks for the link! I know I tried Xpadder in the past, but when I meant to redownload it recently I discovered it wasn't free anymore.

EDIT: Oh, now I remember the real issues here, it's not working on newer, post-Vista OS anymore (in any case not on Win 8). :(

I am using it in Win7 with no discernable issues. Rogue Legacy has gots to be played with a controller!

just a matter of running it in XP compatibility mode. easy peasy :)

They're probably using Valve's definition of full controller support: if you have a supported controller, you can fully control the game with it. (Edit: as opposed to partial, which means that you can mostly use a controller, but you might need the keyboard or mouse for some input, such as typing a name or chatting. And yes, that first line was a bit of snark, but it's more or less accurate.)

It would be nice if GOG and Valve (and any other retailers/publishers/developers/etc. who do this) would specify XInput and/or DirectInput, though.

Don't most controllers, except for the Xbox 360 one, have DirectInput and Xinput?
