tippete: Will the DC support all 7 languages as the original game ?Or devs aren't going for it?
As of right now, only English is supported, sorry :(
What I'm asking is: there is a reasonable hope that there will be some multi-language editions in the future or not?

Your best bet would be to ask Harebrained Schemes as we don't know :)

JudasIscariot: Yes, the new standalone Dragonfall does this too all the while receiving its own enhancements :)
Any word on when GOG will release the Linux build of Shadowrun Returns?

Cool, thanks!

In case nobody told you, you guys rock.
Do we have to use the gift code on ourselves? I'd like to give it away, since I don't have any interest in replaying Dragonfall.

Ha, I've been waiting for this to come here since December!
Anyone else having trouble purchasing the game? I seem to be stuck on the checkout page.

I'd guess between this game and Wasteland 2 the servers are getting a bit hammered today.

inc09nito: Again, a DLC mess.
I think I will wait till the whole game is assembled into some form of Ultimate/Complete/Uberfuckingawesome Edition.

JudasIscariot: What DLC mess? The DLC is being turned into a standalone game...
No, I think he may be right. The more I think about this, the more I think that it is a bit of a DLC mess.

They may well have released it as a standalone game, but I'm growing more concerned as to why they removed the original DLC of Dragonfall, instead of upgrading it (and the base SR game) too. It seems more like a move away from the Shadowrun Returns game, in favour of updated editions. This I gleened from their comment on UGC files.

Now, I usually don't like DLCs, but Shadowrun Returns was different in that respect, because it was an RPG where the player could create their own scenarios and HBS would make their money by releasing official campaigns for it, like the Dragonfall DLC, complete with updates and assets to the game engine and improvements to the editor with each one. It would've sort of kept it true to it's original pen and paper origins.

However, HBS may argue that they are doing that, except they're doing it the dubious Games Workshop way by releasing Shadowrun Returns as a new edition. And, like Games Workshop, they can do that whenever they like, making previous editions obscelete.

So, in effect, Dragonfall Director's Cut is more like "Shadowrun Returns 2nd Edition"

It may not be a cash grab now, but they're setting it up for future "editions" to be so. HBS should really go back to the DLC campaign model and release both DLC and standalone if they want to. That would be much better for all.

Oh, and I'd be grateful if someone at GOG could remove my review and rating for the game that I posted on it, because now I feel that it's wrong.
Can't seem to find my "code" on my "game shelf", whatever those things are. need some help here, pls.
