An original interactive experience by Jasper Byrne.

Lone Survivor: Director's Cut, a unique tale of loneliness, horror, and creeping madness in a city lost to humans with stylish retro visuals, and a branching storyline where every action you take really matters, is available 33% off on GOG.com. That's only $9.99 for the first week.

The masked protagonist must escape from a city ravaged by disease, by any means necessary. Starving and exhausted, he has begun to question how much of what he sees is even real. How to survive is up to YOU. Sneak through without firing a single shot, or kill everything in your path. Eat and sleep well, or resort to drugs to keep going. Search for survivors, or try to escape the city alone. Look after your mental health, or descend into madness...

Lone Survivor: Director's Cut looks, feels, and plays quite differently than the most titles out there. With not much bells and whistles the game manages to create a gripping, deep, and immersive experience of a living, dynamically changing world full of gruesome sights and thought provoking events. There's a bit of stealth, some adventure, intense and truly interactive narrative, and even a virtual pet--all to create a unique and memorable mix you won't soon forget. The Director's Cut edition of the game now includes a great deal of new content, graphical and audio enhancements, and the two new endings and side quests.

You'll be asking yourself "am I going mad", and you'll love every minute of it in Lone Survivor: Director's Cut, for only $9.99 on GOG.com. The 33% release discount offer lasts until Thursday, November 7, at 9:59AM GMT.
I know nothing about this so I am purchasing it blind.

Ps first again
Wow! so many great additions this weak. I'v already purchased Outlast (that i already owned on Steam! So know i get rid of it: thanks to you! :D )and Deadly Premonitions!
And now going for this great game! (That i already own from a Humble Bundle)

Thanks GoG!
The game feels really unique. I need to get back and finish it (was too stressed out by gameplay :)). Does DC support the windowed mode?

You can try browser demo here.

Am I the only one to whom his mask looks like he's constantly grinning? Surely I'm not the only one.

You're not alone :).

Ditto.
The best indie horror except Amnesia. Hands down. Now when it's Director's Cut, I will play it again.

It's pretty much Silent Hill 2D. Only scarier.

edit: another "he looks like he has a psycho smile all the time" reporting in :D

I've had this on Steam for over a year now without ever installing it, is it any good?

Yes, go play it.

Director's Cut update is free on steam, if you already have the game.

I am going to play this one at midnight, lights off, diapers on.

A fantastic game. I loved every minute of it. Don't feel the urge to replay it again though, just for the two new endings and some easter eggs. But I will pobably rebuy it in the future to support the developer.

Alright, I'll install it.
I have no idea where it came from though.. was it in a bundle?
Or maybe I bought it because a friend of mine was raving about it.. but then I would probably have tried it already.
Absolutely fantastic game. Still boggles the mind that only guy essentially (he does credit a few others for very minor help, I think) made this. Great of him to release the Director's Cut for free to previous owners of the game, even though it's quite the hefty expansion. Still, buying another copy here because the good man deserves it.
