Los Luchadores Locos!

Guacamelee! Gold Edition, a modern metroidvania style action-platformer-brawler inspired by Mexican Luchadores, with fast-paced action, incredible combat moves and combos, brilliant humor, and stylish colorful graphics, is available 10% off on GOG.com. That's only $13.49 for the first week. But there's more! In the first week, a free copy of Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack comes with every Guacamelee! Gold Edition purchase.

Juan Aquacate was just a simple agave farmer until destiny reached out, grabbed him, and sent him on a heroic quest through the world of the living and the realm of the dead. Magical Luchadore power was bestowed upon him, so he could face all the unimaginable dangers, strange beasts, and bloodthirsty freaks he would meet on his path. Face them, and beat the livin hell out of them, that is. In the magical, colorful world of Mexican legends where humans, demons, and the dead meet in hand-to-hand combat, Juans story unfolds before your eyes.

Guacamelee! Gold Edition combines the time-proven exploration platformer gameplay with sleek melee combat mechanics inspired by the Mexican Luchadore wrestling, with a whole lot of extra magic and badassery added. The game's aesthetics is firmly rooted in the Mexican folklore, but takes all its special flavor one step further to create a colorful, memorable, and vivid gameworld. The combat system is surprisingly deep, allowing for incredible combos and creating a whole extra level of challenge. On top of that, you'll need to learn how to exploit your hero's ability to shift between the worlds of living and the dead, to pass obstacles on your way. With great gameplay depth, beautiful design, and optional cooperative mode, this fantastic brawler/slash platformer will blast you off your feet like a glass of tequila on a sunny day!

Prepare for some hot & spicy Mexican badassery as you explore the crazy incredible world of Luchadores in Guacamelee! Gold Edition, for only $13.49 on GOG.com. The 10% launch discount offer and the free Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack offer last until Thursday, September 5, at 9:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

tinyE: This office?

seriously I HAVE to have this game. I would assume being an indy it's not going to be a problem on my fossil computer. Think I'll wait till the end of the week to see if I can win it first, and if it matters, the free game is actually the tipping point. Without that I'd just wish list it until Christmas but that blob thing looks way cool. :D

JudasIscariot: It's a really good game but i would seriously recommend having an Xbox 360 controller for it as for this kind of game it's a lot smoother :D
I've got a Logitech 2, it's an Xbox clone, it will have to do.

JudasIscariot: Try it again please. Try a different browser as well, I just tried that link with both Firefox and Chrome and it worked for me.

cyboff: I just edited my post, because I found where the problem is - and it is not in browser :D

FYI I tried it in both Chrome and Firefox - and always have to remove that _gold_edition part of directory from link to download it...
I could get the installer that way (removing _gold_edition) but not the extras.

I can confirm I have the same problem:(
All works fine with GOG downloader, but direct download links are broken:(

edit: fixed!

Hahaha, the trailer is hilarious :D
If you pause the trailer at 37 seconds you see cloud saves listed as a feature which is false advertising. :P

So on top of being a good game, right now its 10% off, and you get another game free with it.

Yeah, I think I'm sold on this.

Seems to be fixed now.

Yeah, sorry about that. Small technical issue but it should be all good now!
Yeah the beat em up looks good.

To get or not to get...
Good thing I put off buying it in the hopes that GOG would get it : D Loving the game so far!
THIS GAME IS OFFENSIVE TO US MEXICANS

I mean, we should be getting it for free since it makes fun of us!

:P

(I do want the game, but not now. So... yeah.)

I beg to differ, it makes fun of Mexican wrestlers. :P

It uses Mexican culture and it's a bit silly with it at times, but I wouldn't say it's making fun, really. The only two things that might raise some eyebrows is a sidequest to help an old lady create the world's largest enchilada, and for some reason chickens are a big fixture in this game.

If that's the truth then I'm moving to Mexico.
Too bad I bought it weeks ago on Steam (paid less than 10€ for this, tales of mutant and lords of shadow 2 thanks to trading cards :P)

Decent game, but I wouldn't replay it now that I finished it.
