Fuzzyfireball: There was also Privateer 2, Academy, and Secret Ops too.
Funny, I never heard of Academy before, you played it? Also Secret Ops was a downloadable expansion to Prophecy correct?
Never actually heard of this game....

Bloodygoodgames: Looks kind of fun.

Here's a Let's Play for the game --

Leroux: This one appears a little more helpful (missing the intro video and not a native speaker but it's the PC version and I think you'll still have an easier time to understand what the commenter is saying):

Btw, I find it funny to note how some games seem to share the same sound libraries, I think I've recognized a sound that was used in NWN later on, just as Divine Divinity's environmental sounds strongly reminded me of Gothic. :)
Yep...that's a lot better video -- although mine does have the naked butt girl :) Thanks. I didn't see that when I did a quick search on YT. And I usually like the 'non native speakers', especially the Dutch, the Scandinavians and the Germans, they always seem to be good Let's Players and speak pretty much perfect English.

Wait a bit, and we'll have "sound bit spotters" in the gaming scene. Just like the people who will meticulously record any Wilhelm scream ever used in any movie. :)
I've been meaning to have a wack at this game for a LONG time becuase 99% of it sounds perfect for me. THEN there is the save system combined with the difficulty. If a game is going to be hard be it tough battles or tough jumps then I better damn well be able to save WHENEVER I want.

I feel bad but that 1% is enough to keep my pocket change in my pocket for now. :( Maybe I can ninja it or something. :)

I've just watched a bit of a Let's Play, but it looks like you can save the game whenever you want to? Is that what you want?
All i remember is that you played with as a dude with a sword, and you could make pieces of art by hackign monsters up in their various components. I want to play this again.

the intro is also kickass: http://youtu.be/YrpVwypTiVE

Academy was storyless and was pretty much just fights. Also yes, Spec ops was a free download for Prophecy, there was also some other missions by Origin you could download separately.

Academy if I recall was basically just the simulator from WC2.

Spec Ops was a standalone episodic story using the backdrop of Prophecy. At one point they released all the episodes for free (if you still had your registered key you got with episode 1)
All in all pretty mediocre game. I bought this ages ago when it came out originally, got it cheap too, as the place I bought it had priced it wrong. I played it through once, but the game really doesn't have much re-play value.
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!! This was THEE WORST game on the PSX!

I wanna get it just for the sentimental nostalgia!

Is that Kelly brook? Now there's a time capsule if i ever saw one....
It would have been better if you just released the book. The book is actually one of the best FF's in the 50+ series, the game on the other hand being the exact opposite end of the scale.
