As heroic as fantasy gets!

Blade of Darkness, a brutal and challenging TPP action hack ‘n’ slasher set in a dark and gritty heroic fantasy realm that feels like a Robert E. Howard novel, is available on GOG.com, for only $5.99

Heroic fantasy--a genre of fiction that has fueled the imaginations of many generations. Dark and brutal worlds full of injustice and ominous magic are always waiting for a champion: a man or woman, scantily clad, wielding a legendary weapon, slashing beasts and villains left and right, and looking as fabulous as a demigod. This is the heart and soul of such stories and it didn't change much since the time of ancient myths. The fact that we enjoy them so much proves that we aren't that different from our great ancestors and tales of godlike heroism still get our blood run pumping. Gather ‘round, friends, and hear the story of four heroes and their epic battle against the dark overlord, Dal Gurak, the necromancer.

Blade of Darkness is a third person perspective action game that focuses on combat. Each of the four heroes has its very own set of moves and statistics, and starts the adventure in a different area. There's over 100 different weapons you can use in the game, each with its own characteristics that reflect on the fighting style. New special attacks can be unlocked as your character gains experience and power. While you slash and bash through the hordes of terrifying monsters, you will feel the urge sometimes to stop and look at the beautiful--if a bit gloomy--surroundings. If you're looking for a game that will take you on a fantastic quest filled with merciless combat, this is the one to pick up!

There are great deeds of bravery and might to be done in Blade of Darkness, for only $5.99 on GOG.com. Get heroic!
Yay, more blocky 3D action hack 'n' slash. Wishlisting for now, since Torment really took a bite from my budget :/
AWESOME.

Edit: Missing the soundtrack though.

Too bad I'm poor... ;p

Oh, wow, I did not see that coming. This is simply amazing!
I still got my disc, but it didn't run extremely well on my current pc, so this is much appreciated :)
Great release ! Too bad I still own a physical copy, so only wishlisted for the moment...
Wasn't this called, Severance: Blade of Darkness? I loved that game.

Also, I'm broke, got a lot going on this month, but will buy this and back Torment in April

Great release. Bear in mind that this game is actually called "Severance" in many parts of Europe.

Edit: Ninja'd.

Neat, I've only heard the title a few times, haven't ever seen or played it but it looks pretty cool.

Edit: And even multilingual. I just presume that German is missing because the game was either banned or had its own censored edition there?

Nice wishlisted for now as trying not to buy any games just now.

ShadowWulfe: AWESOME.

Edit: Missing the soundtrack though.
Quite odd considering the music doesn't seem to be anything that would be held back, like GTA soundtrack:

Oh, well, we got TWO good old games today, each with over 1000 votes on the wishlist. Very nice.

I'd recommend GOG edit that so that people can find the game more easily.

The disc version I have is called Severance Blade of Darkness

Thing is though my PC DVD drive won't read the disc, It is over 10 years old now and still like new, it just doesn't like it. Tried it on 3 different computers but all the same, think the disc may have somehow corrupted, not sure :(

On the flip side, had a few spare quid in the bank account, just enough to buy it here so downloading now......AWESOME

Wonder if it is still as tough as I remember it all those years back?!
Oh yeah, now this is what I'm talking about!

I've heard many great things about this game, I'm assuming this is the spiritual successor to Die by the sword, great to finally see it here on GOG, took Codemasters long enough
SEVERANCE!!! One of the best PC games ever created and truly one of its kind, I might add.
Mmmm... 2001 graphics, looks very enticing.
Reminds me of the Unreal-engine based Rune.

Any Goggers who can vouch for this game storywise? Not in a "War and Peace" way, though. More like does the single-player campaign have a good flow?
