Purchased The Penumbra Colletion a while ago now, today I find that they no longer run under Mavericks. I came here to see what was going on in the forum for the software, only to find that there is no forum for this.

Has the software been removed ?

EDIT: MY error sorry, also should have said I run Bootcamp so I can run the software under that.

I assume the collection has been removed and I am now stuck with software that no longer works ?
But, here is the forum.

Here is the sub-forum for The Penumbra Collection, if that is what you are looking for:

http://www.gog.com/forum/the_penumbra_collection#1394978867

The collection has not been removed, it is still available for purchase.
According tothe game's card Mac is still supported.

Do not hesitate contacting the support if needed :-)
And the problem with that is that while the information at the top of the game card does indeed simply say "OS X 10.6.8 or later", if you scroll down to the system requirements which are written in grey text on a grey background, down there it says "OS X 10.6.8 or later.(not compatible with Mac OS X 10.9)".

So no, it doesn't work under Mavericks.

The collection is still there as mentioned, but it never supported your OS. GOG has just been extremely lax in drawing attention to this. If I were you, I would contact support, direct them to the frankly misleading information on the game card, and ask for a refund.

Grargar: But, here is the forum.
avatar
Wishbone: The problem with the forum is that while the game card and box art both say "Penumbra Collection", they stupidly chose to name the subforum "The Penumbra Collection", so in the list of subforums it is under T instead of P. It is also listed in the catalog as "The Penumbra Collection".
Well, when I inputted Penumbra on the "Find specific forum" search box, I found the subforum immediately. Alternatively, he could access the subforum through the gamecard on his account.

I'm not saying it's impossible to find. I'm just saying that when the site presents you with a complete alphabetized list of subforums, and that is the only subforum to be "misplaced" in this manner, you really can't blame someone for assuming it isn't there.

OK. Fair enough.

LOL. I scrolled down to P in the forum list and did not see Penumbra Collection, did not go down to T for The Penumbra Collection.

Sorry everyone, typical of me.

Like I said, it's an easy mistake to make ;-)

But as I also said above, while the game never did support your OS, the game card does at first glance make it appear that it explicitly does support it (and the information that it doesn't is quite well hidden), so if I were you I would definitely take it up with support and ask for a refund. Feel free to link them to my post above if you want, since that lists all the problems discussed here.

Just spent 20 minutes trying to post to support without success, filled in all areas and when I try to send it keeps telling there is information missing, oh well.

In future I will be more careful about what I buy from here.

In this instance I am lucky that I run Bootcamp so I can use the software in there, others may not.
