The Evil is back! Thanks to the sequel to the acclaimed Dungeon Keeper you can be even nastier.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/dungeon_keeper_2]Dungeon Keeper 2 is Bullfrog’s second take on the masterpiece blend of real-time strategy with elements of sim, RPG and first person action game. Once again you take the role of the main Bad Guy. You have to build an underground empire, set deadly traps, recruit armies of brainless minions, and show the good-natured (bleh!) heroes where their place is: six feet under! And with even greater selection of traps and monsters it's now easier than ever. So train your army well (or slap them into submission) to expand your evil empire from the undergrounds to the realms above.
Nothings been fixed since patch 1.7... So disapointed. Gonna try getting my money back out of spite!
Been waiting for this since... well, since I learned about GOG.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

kostejnesmrtelny: Well, excuse me, but:

"4. All games are Vista and XP compatible.

Thanks to our handsome programming team, the classics are now Windows Vista and Windows XP compatible. Now you can use your lightning-fast PC to unleash the full potential of those games you just couldn't play properly on that busted old 386."

That doesn't mean what you think it means. A significant number of games here use DOSBox which may on occasion require a programming fix. Then there's games like RCT which benefit from their special loader.

They don't actually go back and repair bugs in the games.
We're looking deeper into this problem and it seems to be limited to ATI cards and only with accelerated graphics enabled (disabled by default). We opted to set the graphics to software by default, as software rendering is generally more stable in older games.
Right now the game is fully playable and enjoyable, although the visuals look slightly better on non-ATI cards. We will do our best to trick the game into using accelerated graphics correctly on all systems, however the problem may lie in ATI drivers' backwards compatibility, in which case our options are even more limited (without access to the game's source code).
We will let you know once we have any updates.

Not according to your forum user base it isn't, not just ATI but Nvidia aswell, basically it seems as if you've sold DK2 with the original patch and left it at that. Did EA have you by the balls?, you could've atleast made sure it was fully working both software and hardware as it's exactly the same version as CD + Patch 1.7 :(
Can't verify this right now, but this fix/suggestion looks promising:

I manage to play up to level 2 in software mode at 1024x768 resolution with ATI HD4350. After a few minute of play time, when I click on the computer icon to save the game, the game exit automatically. I can't saved my game at level 2. I can saved at level 1.
I have NVIDIA cards in my computer and it's just as unplayable as the CD version. I am so bummed by this as I was excited to see DK2 here on GOG today. It was an instant buy but with the non-existent upgrades from the regular DK2 and its incompatibility with modern systems, it makes me pull back my support of GOG. Their purpose is to re-release the classics for modern systems, not repackage what we already have and sell it again. I hope a patch or two will come of this, but I don't know. It's a transaction that left me feeling pretty disappointed to say the least.

No their purpose is to sell DRM free games thats it nothing else the fact they sell games that are MOSTLY hard to get hold of elsewhere is pure bonus so what you can buy it else where that goes for a fairfew games on here its not Good Old Exclusive Games.
I have the original CD version, a modern system and ATI card, For me this was an almost instant buy but I read what was posted so far and I pulled back.
I will be gladly buying this when there is evidence that the annoying flickering of the screen was fixed.
Looks decent.

I have to disagree. The site is called Good Old Games, not Good DRM-Free Games. The games being drm-free is a bonus, or we would see new games here, even if mostly indie games. Some games maybe new-ish, but GOG's purpose is to bring back classics to modern systems. If they didn't bother with compatibility at all, then they clearly missed their point with this release.
Not sure how much can be done without the source code, but I'm not gonna buy it when I already have the CD version installed and fixed to "mostly" work (can't use widescreen resolutions, newer NVIDIA drivers don't like it).

If they do end up fixing the game though, it's gonna become an insta-buy.

Mmmmm love this game. If they update it and make it play wonderfully on Win7, I wouldn't mind having a digital/updated copy of this. I tend to reinstall it occasionally.

Actually I played it eh semi recently on Win 7, I made it through the game, there were a few hangs and some problems but it played alright.

Great addition to GOG though!
Unfortunate.

Seems like every EA release is tainted by something.

This is a game I would love to get. I passed up on DK 1 because it was an inferior version with no expansion, and I guess I'm not buying this because it's apparently buggy as ****.
