GOG.com is kicking off regular Twitch shows!

Starting this Thursday, at 8:00PM GMT (that's 1:00PM PST, 4:00PM EDT), we're bringing GOG.com original shows to our official Twitch.tv/gogcom channel, with some really great hosts, entertaining let's plays, premiere spotlights, and an occasional early look. With all the possibilities that the game streaming service offers, we're excited to connect with you, dear GOG gamers, in yet another way. We've got so many games to show you - both new releases and all-time favorite GOG classics. This should be fun!

Each Thursday, at 8:00PM GMT, one of our Twitch guest hosts will be going online with a live stream full of gaming goodness. We want to start with something off-beat, original, and quirky to make sure that GOG.com Twitch channel lives up to your expectations. That's why we'll be streaming a Devolver Digital release, Hatoful Boyfriend, the indisputable king of pigeon dating sims. Our host tomorrow: BaerTaffy, a Twitcher known for his refined taste in indie games, and a connoisseur of classics.

Join us tomorrow at 8:00PM GMT on our official Twitch.tv/gogcom channel to see our first streaming gameplay and meet the first guest host. Subscribe and stay with us, to find out what shows we have in store for the coming Thursdays and what other fantastic hosts did we invite to our channel.

Not exactly Twitch-savvy? No problem! You'll be able to see the whole thing right here:

Piranjade: I hereby announce that I'll ask about new GOG t-shirts. :-D Like I did in all the previous streams.
avatar
Geralt_of_Rivia: Do you really want gray T-Shirts?

Perhaps you should wait until GOG reverses their logo redesign before buying any GOG merchandise.
I have already seen the t-shirts with the new logo at the GOG party in Cologne, and I like them. :-)
Although, admittedly, I'd like one of those DRM-free revolution t-shirts with the fist as well.

Erich_Zann: Oh I have it too, that's not the point. If games disappear, they can't be sold, hence less revenue for GOG and potentially (even) fewer interesting new releases since the less revenue they make, the less interesting business partner they are.

Now come to think of it, that pile of manure Mass Effect could indeed make up for the loss, as it should sell well, and hence potentially allow for interesting stuff to come. Which is after all the point of manure ; disgusting, putrid and offensive to the senses, but makes thing grow.
I think a Mass Effect trilogy with all DLCs on gog would be a best-seller. I know I'd get a copy :)
Hell I'd even get Dragon Age 2 if it came here with all DLCs

Really? Don't you think GOG should kick of it's channel with Ultima, Baldur's Gate, Worms or some other classic? I know it's not just about old games anymore, but still this sounds like the last game that should represent GOG.

Why? GOG with his DRM Free policy is an insane in current gaming world, and Hatoful Boyfriend is an insane game :D

Don't you worry - we know that classics are our great strength and that our roots are firmly planted in the glorious gaming past. Once we establish a position on Twitch we'll be streaming the golden oldies as well, that's a promise. We just felt that showing a game as quirky and new as Hatoful Boyfriend will help us bring more viewers in the beginning of our streaming adventure. Plus, this is a really interesting and fun game to watch!

On a different note, I've embedded the Twitch player in the announcement news post, so everyone here can enjoy the show without the need to leave GOG.com. :-)

Hah, as if they'd sell DA2 with all the DLC -.-"
Still waiting for a Bioware Point discount or for them to ditch that fucking system...as long as I still have games to play (or don't really feel the need to play DA2), I just won't buy the DLCs till they get a discount. I could get tens of games for that amount of money during a promo :D

But I'd sure as hell buy ME1 with all DLC again, if it came to GOG (don't have Pinnacle Station though...don't really need it...)

GOG.com: GOG.com is kicking off regular Twitch shows!
Is it possible that GOG is concentrating on one thing at a time? How about getting this site runnning properly again and then strive for world domination?
Excuse me, but is there any possibility of customer service happening from this site in any sort of timely manner? Promotions are cute and all, but a working website/being able to buy games / having customer support give a crap if the checkout is working for some people or not seems more important.

UserWillow: is there any possibility of customer service happening from this site in any sort of timely manner?
That's usually how it happens on most accounts.
avatar
P1na: BTW, will it be a black&white show or did you manage to rescue the kidnapped colors?
avatar
CrowTRobo: LOL, nice one.
Au voleur !

(Because it's never too late for a good old reference)

Edit : I got the quick test right, but absolutely nothing running for the moment ?!

I've been waiting on a reply since Aug 29th. That's almost a week.

There are indeed indications of slower responses lately, as discussed here. More workload or less manpower ? I don't know.

I think this game would be more understandable with the human option thing selected at the start, I like the thought of the ridiculousness of the game concept but it's too full on for me like this.
Dafuq, I tune in for some pigeon dating goodness and the first thing I see is a parakeet! Talk about bait & switch!

We tested the game and there are definitely pigeons inside :P Besides, one shouldn't exclude other species of bird from participating, that's just discriminatory :)
