I actually find Telika a hell of a lot less suspicious today and find JMich's reasoning slightly odd and faulty.

FoS: JMich
Bazilišek is having techinical difficulty and wishes to apologise. He hopes to be posting again soon.

SirPrimalform: I actually find Telika a hell of a lot less suspicious today and find JMich's reasoning slightly odd and faulty.
What reasoning? The fact that Telika was the only one to (correctly) identify that there are more factions than the expected (at least by me) town and scum? Or the fact that I still haven't seen a convincing argument by him as to why he posted it when he did?
Or are the coincidences again the reason I am suspected that much?

avatar
nmillar: I get the impression I'm being kept alive because of the element of doubt about who is mafia and who is town out of JMich and myself. While this element of doubt exists, the mafia have an advantage, so I think JMich or myself should be lynched. Perhaps even both.
We are in a strong position now, so a couple of mis-lynches would not be critical.
Weirdly enough, I do agree with you. Most people believe that at least one of us is mafia, and most theories say that only one of us is. Weirdly, I no longer have you pegged as mafia, though as I said before, you do post quite often things that make me reconsider. So the problem with lynching one of us is that when that one is shown to be a townie, the other one will be autolynched on the next day, and will probably turn up townie as well. Can we take that risk? Not sure yet.

avatar
Telika: By lynch ?
You mean Krypsyn's vote for you on post 546. Or was he trying to lynch you by keeping his vote on you while you were at less than 3 votes?

And let me point another coincidence. Krypsyn switched his vote to Gazoinks on post 818 and was the 2nd vote for Gazoinks. When the votes started rising rapidly, he tried to retract his vote, but he was too late. So we already know that Krypsyn did vote on fellow scum when it was safe, though he did try to not get them lynched.

Also, a question to those of you with more experience in mafia games. Is there any role other than vigilante and serial killer that can nightkill? And if there is any such role, is it pro-town or not?

Agree with this. Telika has claimed Robbeasy, who is obviously a regular mafia player, and as it's now evident that the mafia in this game are people who have never played a mafia game on this forum, it's pretty safe to assume that Telika is town.

Well, he got pretty close to get me lynched, as he was focusing almost exclusively on me during all day 2. You think you would have dedicated a whole day to "schooling" a co-scum ? Pushing people to lynch him ? Ending the day with a tie between two scums ? Then hesitating last minute on which one of both scums to lynch ? Trying to retracting his Gazoinks vote last minute in order to still negociate the lynch of another mafioso instead ?

To clarify, I mean the mafia players have the names of people who have never been involved in a GOG mafia game.

The whole "Krypsyn was telling Telika off" thing just doesn't work for me. Much more likely Krypsyn was quizzing Telika because he was freaking out. We still don't know what happened on the first night, who did that night kill. Now we know that Krypsyn was mafia, I think his quizzing of Telika points to the first NK not being done by Krypsyn's team.

Not really. As far as I'm concerned, the tie is between you and Bazilisek, not you and Nmillar. If you turn out twinie, I'll vote Bazlisek, not Nmillar.

(Although I haven't decided yet for which one of you I'll vote today.)

Also, IF there is only one mafioso left, we have some margin of error. Not a reason to get sloppy, but enough for a multi-lynch strategy (the sort of which I was considering to include myself in, "yesterday", as we had even fewer "free shots" left)...

We are seven left. If there is only one mafioso left, we can make 4 mistakes. If there are two mafiosi left, we are allowed 2 mistakes. Am I wrong ?

Yes, that was the conclusion I had come to as well.

I don't think you're taking the night kill into account.

A mislynch today and a double nightkill would result in 4 left tomorrow (assuming there's 1 mafia left, if there's 2 then it'd be game over). It's certainly too early to relax.

nmillar: I don't think you're taking the night kill into account.
Ouch. Yeah, I had kinda overlooked a tiny detail in my brilliant calculation.

Are these two the trigger for a nameclaim? I'm willing for it, even if I'm not really sure whether the names are connected.

He spent a lot of time schooling you, but also offering you quite a lot of "ways out". A single yes (or no, or possible) where said by Krypsyn to be enough to have him stop questioning you, even though you wouldn't give such an answer. And how exactly did he come close to having you lynched, since I don't recall you going over L-2 votes during day 2? Once the deadline started coming closer, and Gazoinks was still MIA, he voted for him, probably to wake him up a bit. Did he expect Gazoinks to get lynched so fast? Doubt it, especially since the Gazoinks wagon gained speed and hammer in about 2-4 hours (can't recall exact count, and forum software doesn't help). Why change his vote to you instead of just unvoting? Because he didn't have enough to vote for someone else, and he had said he didn't want a nolynch.

Feel free to give me your theory then. We know Gazoinks and Krypsyn were both scum, but we don't know anything else. Did the scum kill fail due to Vitek roleblocking the killer? Did it fail because Vitek protected the victim?

So, I've stirred the hornets' nest again, let's see what comes out to sting me.

Both dead mafia members have the names of GOG forum members who have yet to play a single game of GOG Mafia. How are you not seeing the connection?

I'd support a mass name claim.
avatar
nmillar: How are you not seeing the connection?
Two reasons for being hesitant.
1) I haven't really followed the mafia community, thus I can't easily say if someone is a regular or not.
2) It has been repeated in this game that it is a "Joe" game, and that means to make no assumptions.

I am guilty of assuming a lot in this game though, so I'll accept others making assumptions as well. And that makes 2 of us for the name claim, and one who has already claimed. Let's see the rest.
