Dragobr: Isn't it a little odd that very few people are playing older games or GOGs, and most are finishing newer games?
I thought about that as well a few days ago. Don't people finish their GOGs ? I do but my backlog is a bit huge and I tend to alternate newer / older / indie games.
Just finished Double Dragon . Working on finishing Double Dragon II.

FlatOut 2

On which platform? I remember Double Dragon II being one of the first games I got on my Atari ST. Those were the days... :)

It's the NES version...emulated perfectly on my PSP. :D

Screw that room with the bricks that slide out in a random pattern.

I don't remember the details, but I think I finished it. You've convinced me, I need to retry it someday.

It's difficult to forget the bricks of hell. The best way past them that I have found is doing jump kicks all the way until you get past them once you start walking. Once you get past them I think you have some thugs and an Abobo to deal with.
Just finished another run of Icewind Dale.

I just finished Lure of the Temptress at work :)
(I'm not too far off finishing The Witcher but I can't play that at work so it's slower going) (then it'll be on to Baldur's Gate but I'm not sure if I'll manage to finish that this year, I could possibly manage Riven though).

Other non-Gogs finished this year:
Eye of the Beholder (Amiga) I mentioned earlier,
I forgot to mention:
Final Fantasy I, II, IV, V, VI (though I'd played VI before) on Gameboy Advance.

Daikatana: I can confirm probably what most people say: the 2nd & 3rd episodes are the best. The companions are OK if you keep them out the way most of the time, but they used to get really stuck on rare occassions. I just didn't entirely enjoy the experience as the game world had a strange empy feeling. And I'm not talking about being a lone character (ignoring the companions) in a world full of bad guys because I've played the Doom's and Quake's and never had that experience.

Sacred: I'm enjoying this thoroughly and I've finished it many times (only gone as far as completing Gold level) as I'm running through the various characters - and they definitely do have different play styles. I haven't bothered with the Underworld expansion though as I don't enjoy it, especially the beginning with all those annoying bugs!

Bioshock: Was OK; glad I can now get rid of it because it has really nasty DRM.

Fate: Not sure if many have heard of it, but it's a predecessor to Torchlight and fun if you want a quick and easy gaming fix for a couple of minutes.

The Bard's Tale (the remake): True fans of The Bard probably don't like it, but it's an OK action RPG with really lots of action. I've never played the original games so I enjoyed this one, and it was very stable. I could gripe about it having a console-like feel, but the gameplay wasn't complex so it really didn't matter.
It's hard to remember ever game, but I'll try.

NES
Dragon Quest
Too slow... couldn't finish part two.

Kirby's Adventure
This game is great. Good graphics, nice animations and it has a nostalgia level. ^^

GB
Kirby's Dream Land
One of the games that are more fun as a kid.

SNES
Mystic Quest Legend (Final Fantasy - Mystic Quest)
Very simple and easy, but the music is great.

PC
Might and Magic
Big open world, but it feels empty.

Might and Magic II
Much better than Book One, but near the end the battles are too long, too easy and too boring.

Kara no Shoujo
A nice visual novel about serial killings. Not for a weak stormach.

Breath of Death VII
Fun. Simple but simply fun.

Defense Grid: The Awakening
A Tower Defence game that can be quite tragic. Yes, that's possible.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
The version that came with Assault on Dark Athena. The game is better than the sum of it's parts.

I think that's everything. I wasted to much time watching anime and playing Minecraft and Stone Soup.

33. Dead Island- Ps3; 9/17/2011 5.0/10 (at first I was super into the game.... then I got to the city & it all went downhill from there. The game is glitchy as fuck & there are far to many cheap deaths. The game is obviously made to be played in multiplayer & as such the balancing is terrible in single player. Not to mention that I was killed by an infected at the exact same time I beat the final boss... which lead to the ending fucking out.... as in the red blood streak that happens when you die covered the ending cutscene for the entire time it played. Glad I only rented the game.... had I payed full price for this train wreck I would be pissed beyond belief.)
