Dungeon Keeper, Crusader: No Remorse and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, we took some time off from EA releases, but promised to bring back more great titles from this publisher in late summer. The time has come to say farewell to the summer and take you all gamers back to the Old School with the release of more EA classic games. Be sure to check back this Thursday to see for yourself what the next batch of classic games from Electronic Arts will be!
Another World, Flashback and Fade to Black were EA weren't they?

Gonadius: As for the Sim City fans - What I'd love to see, but alas won't see here, is the SNES version of Sim City. Had as I recall, the perfect balance of 'Sim' and 'Fun' for its time - To a much younger me at least...
Was a nice game. The only thing that could beat this would be Sim City 64 DD. Sad that it wasn't released and we just have videos of it.

No they were Delphine/Infogrammes. Another World is already available here.
What about Magic Carpet and its sequel? were they actually any good - I remember them being a big deal at the time but never played them...
this time with expansions included, ok??!!!!!!

Fade to Black is EA...and yes, I wouldn't mind tossing that in my collection of horrible 3D model games (to join the likes of Gabriel Knight 3)
Hmm, the banner for the announcement actually reminds of Bladerunner!

Hope it's that one - an insta buy for me even though I already own 3 different versions of it along with 2 different movie versions, lol

I think they just published it. When F2B was re-released on the PSN EA were not the publisher.

Fuzzyfireball: How cheerful of you. You realize EA owns more than just Need for Speed and Sims right? They could bring Command & Conquer, Crusader, Theme Hospital/Park, Ultima, Wing Commander, Strike Commander, DK2, System Shock (Maybe), Syndicate (Maybe), Lands of Lore, BioForge, and this is not all.
yeah I know but, they never exploited (bad choice of word, but, right one too) those awesome IPs for some mysterious reason.

All they do is Need for Speed year after year. I mean, they never did another DK2, Theme Hospital/Park, Ultima or BioForge. They just keep popping SIMs and Need For Speed games year after year so, excuse me if I don't get all happy but as far as I know, their only conception of making money is selling Need for Speed.

I'm just waiting the first 2 need for speed to be released on Thursday and then to be followed by the others each 2 weeks.

That is, 40 need for speed on GOG by the end of the month.

By that interpretation, none of the Bullfrog games, Jane's, or Origin games should be on the list either. The key is that this entire event has been for the publishing entity known as EA.

No there are often temproary publishing arrangements made usually when a company either can't afford to do it on their own or they want someone with more expertise than they have. In this case it's a simple business arrangement and the publisher claims no right of ownership over the IP. Just because EA published Valve games for retail on PC and Console you don't honestly expect the Orange Box or Left 4 Dead to turn up on GOG do you?
Oh how I wish above all for Strike Commander! When it was released I had home computers, not personal computers and when I got my first pc I couldn't find the game.

Oh please Strike Commander!

GOG.com: After releasing couple stunning classics like Dungeon Keeper, Crusader: No Remorse and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
Yes, the next couple stunning classics should be:

Crusader: No Regret
Wing Commander 1-5
Privateer 2
Clive Barker's Undying
Cybermage
Ultima 1-9
American McGee's Alice
System Shock 1-2
Magic Carpet 2
Hi-Octane

Since it's only a couple, we can expect them all to be released by next Thursday, right?

I see, so you want to play the semantic game? Look, Wikipedia, Giant Bomb, Gamespot, and IGN all list EA as the sole publisher for any version of the game (PSX or PC). If you want to keep pushing it and keep saying that it should be disqualified to be a valid game in EA's catalog because EA only published the game, you're going to have to trim out all the other developer studios EA's had publishing deals with (and footing substantial bills to fund the development studios such as Jane's, Origin, Bullfrog, Westwood, etc...).

As for your frivolous hypothetical, I wouldn't expect to see TOB or any Valve game on GoG because, and I know this is a stretch of the imagination here, they're Valve games...and Valve doesn't like anybody stealing their online store thunder.

No you just missed the point. I'm not interested in arguing.
