We're fighting the depressing weather that announces the inevitable approach of autumn with an awesome weekend promo!

Not so long ago we had the Atari-Hasbro games on promo, and this weekend we're putting the 20(!) remaining titles from Atari on offer! So how about getting some of the greatest classics from the Atari catalogue with a flat 50% discount? Get a half-off on The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (only $4.99), Roller Coaster Tycoon series, Outcast ($2.99), Master of Orion series, Alone in the Dark games ($2.99 each) and more! No matter how many games you buy, you get the 50% discount. Check the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/atari_collection]promo page to see the whole offer and don't wait as the promo ends on Monday, October 17 at 11:59 a.m. EDT.
Desperados is now mine. I'm glad someone mentioned it, though, because I didn't even see it on the promo page the first few times I looked.
Nice promo!
I would like to thank the GOG staff for making this promo, at least, back at the flat 50% discount. The idea to increase the discount per how many games you have is a good idea, but I just like the flat discount better, partly because I don't own that many games on GOG.

adambiser: Nice promo. There are six games from my wishlist in it. Sadly, I can only afford three right now.

Blood 1 and Desperados are definite buys, but I'm not sure which of the remaining to get: Blood2, Master of Magic, Total Annihilation, or Total Annihilation: Kingdoms.

Blood 2 seems to have issues with Windows 7 x64 (and might even disappear from my wishlist in a different way), so I'm leaning more toward one of the latter three. I've not played any of the choices and they all have a high rating. Does any one have any suggestions?

MontyThePython: Total annihilation if you like RTS, Master of Magic if you like TBS. TA:Kingdoms is nice as well, if you prefer fantasy-ish RTS instead of futuristic.
Thanks, I was wondering more if anyone had any thoughts about the playability of one vs the others since I've not played any, not even demos. Positives and negatives. Though the reviews for all are pretty positive, making it a tough call.

gamez79: is it safe to skip Roller Coaster tycoon 1 and go straight to 2 or will i be missing out on something if I did?
Personally, I like the consistence of RCT1. It's really, almost awkwardly visible that the developers tried to increase the number of rides dramatically by creating new rides out of the various modes of already existing ones. (An example: in Rollercoaster Tycoon, you have the "Boat hire" attraction, with various boats, such as swans or trycicles, available after research. In RCT2, every single type of boat counts as a unique attraction.)
So, while I say RCT2 *is* a good game, it's not an improved version of its prequel, and doesn't make it obsolete.
Not a bad promo, however I'm afraid that I'll pass this week

Even if there are games which I do want to pick up: AITD Trilogy, Star control 1+2, 50% I'm afraid isn't an incentive that's big enough

Now if this system used the "The more you buy, the more the discount you recieve" like last week and for example...offered me...70% if I bought 10 games, I would go for it

Hopefully the discount rates next weekend will be bigger
If this is the "Atari Collection". where are the DnD games?

"collection" is not equal "full catalogue", also collection can be incomplete but it is still "some" collection. DnDs were on promo not so long time ago.
i prefer this style of discount a discount no matter how many games i buy, because of limited money i cannot afford to just dish out $40 i can usually only afford one or two so the incentive to purchase games in a discount for like 5-10% discount and maybe be a little tighter on money i would just buy em separately when i know i have enough money. so instead of purchasing 0 or 1 games i am picking up 2 today thank you GOG i now have the chance to clear my 2 games from my wishlist :)

CaveSoundMaster: When i was a kid i read this donald duck comic strip where there was a guy advertising a philosophy of life: each time you need to make a decision - flip a coin. Of course he was the "bad guy" in the story but I upgraded and adopted some portions of it: if the pros and cons are equal or there are none I roll a dice not to end up in the all-too-familiar endless stream of what-ifs and maybes. :)

lugum: not just donald duck :p harvey dent from batman too. think its in more stories.
Well i'm not as devious as harvey dent, my dice have different number on every side!

I already have MOO 1&2 and The Witcher. I just purchased Star Control 1+2. Any recommendations on the others? If you could just pick 1 or 2, which ones would it be?
