GOG has Top Men reviewing every game submitted. They do not make mistakes.

Look at the actual game page on Steam. It's an even more generic looking dungeoncrawler than I've seen in a while.
But who reviews the Top Men?

As someone who likes generic looking dungeoncrawlers, that's not by itself a negative thing.

If the gameplay is good.

I've had it on my Steam WL for future sale/bundle monitoring but probably wouldn't pay $10. Partly because my budget doesn't really allow that, anyway.

I'd be wary of any game of this type with micros in it.

I've looked at the game several times and haven't seen any mention of that in the specs or the reviews (even the negative ones).

Where are you seeing that?

There's clearly listed DLC on the very steampage and it appears there's a large handful.

I guess we have different definitions of microtransaction. If the DLC aren't necessary for gameplay but are just optional add-on adventures/ mini-expansions as they appear to be I guess I don't see the concern. Is it significantly different from, say, Dishonored?

It doesn't seem to be DDO or anything near that extent.
Gog should stop replying the "too niche" crap (if they're really still doing it).
Just say that you aren't interested in it at the moment without random excuses.

What if the game is Niche Simulator?

Or this one?
GOG must be taking the route of skipping anything that looks like it was on android or very weak visual looks now.
Looks nice...

But the thing is, despite Quest being originally a tablet/phone game, it's actually a surprisingly great old-school RPG, the graphics don't look "mobile-like" at all, they are hand-drawn 2D graphics in the style of Might & Magic.

I don't have a problem at all with GOG curating releases, but the people they currently have doing the curating seem to be either ignorant or stupid.
