I'm stuck in the same loop and get the timeout message after around 30 seconds.
My steam account is set to public, although I don't see how that matters right now as I don't even get a screen to enter Steam credentials.
I've been trying for the past 3 days at various times.

The funny thing is that I can play Steam just fine through the app, but I can't log in through the website. I'd changed my username at some point, and while that doesn't seem to be an issue for the app, the website doesn't recognize either the old name or the new one.

Same issue when I tried to connect the two accounts last night.

Ah well, the only game available for transfer that I own is To the Moon, and I haven't even activated the key on Steam yet anyway since I own the DRM-free version. ;)

The thing is it doesn't matter what priv. settings I have - I can't even log my steam account, cause I never made to the logging screen. Always times out. So I have yet to get to that part...

I still try... and I send a ticket to GOG Support. Let's hope either traffic goes down or they simply prolong this...

What worries me that there only 3 days left.....

For new games? Or for the eligible ones to transfer? If it is the second, keep in mind that no DLCs are recognized...

I did... 4 days ago. I'll try again, maybe I'll made it in time.

EDIT: And I finally connected. Had to use friends help... it seems GOG doesn't like my ISP. Oh well.

GOG and Steam are competitors, so of course GOG isn't going to push you towards their competition. GOG are trying to bring you into their store with Connect.
