I would explain as carrying on a good old tradition dating back a year or two with only 1 or 2 notable exceptions. Barely even worth looking at the store any more.

Given that I have enough games to play for the upcoming century or two I am not that worried about the lack of releases right now - other than increasing my backlog and supporting devs buying their games.
Zodiarcs, Mystralia, CSH, RiME, even Outlast 2 can take a while to complete.

However, if you take a look at the August lineup, it will be quite busy - at least compared to last year.
