Possibly a bit of an odd place to ask this, but you guys have been so great at making my decisions for me, I thought you could help with this too!

I have a friend visiting from the US soon who owes me about $120. I figured I could ask her to order something for me and bring that instead. What should I ask for? Suggestions from here would be helpful!

Asking her to put it in my paypal so I can buy more games is an option too, but a boring one!

I already own a smartphone, already own a graphics tablet, don't want the other kind of tablet, have a nice camera, a stylophone, a mini-microscope, a high powered green laser, magnetic silly putty, an archery set, a whip, a slingshot etc.

From other threads, you may notice I've been looking out for a portable media player. The FiiO X1 (mentioned in that other thread) fits the bill (except it seems to have a pretty poor battery life), but I realised I need a good pair of durable (almost no pair I've had lasted more than a couple months) headphones as well to appreciate it, and that combination would probably exceed $120.

Another thing I was pondering was an epaper ebook reader (something other than a kindle, so I'd be paying for more than just the name). A pity commercial level colour epaper readers don't exist yet, and will likely be a long time before they get within $120 :D. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Also a possibility would be a raspberry pi (or pi 2). I'd have to get an HDMI to VGA converter for using it, though (annoying that something that prides itself on being affordable requires an expensive monitor).

Was also considering a telescope, but I'm not sure a reasonable one would fit in a suitcase easily.

Some (mostly technically useless) knick-knacks I was browsing that caught my eye (just to give examples of stuff that seem interesting to me, I realise these things could likely be found cheaper elsewhere):
A UV Flashlight
Magnetically Gyroscopic Balls
Bluetooth Wireless Receiver (for headphones)
Lightning Storm glass thing
Wind-powered Mechanotrosity
Weird Physics Balls

So some help or suggestions?
tl;dr:
Recommend me something purchasable in the US that:
Is at most around $120 (could probably stretch on this a BIT)
Fits in a suitcase
Is deliverable (to within the US) within a week or two max
Is cool or highly useful.

Well because of your login I always thought you might be a dog with a severe stutter, so maybe you should ask for a canine speech therapist.
A magic 8-ball... $120 worth of magic 8-balls.

;)

Do they have mini-robot canine speech therapists now? Because I don't think a human (or canine) canine speech therapist would fit in a suitcase :(.

This might sound crazy, but consider asking her for $120.

ZFR: This might sound crazy, but consider asking her for $120.
The opportunity to get something I might not otherwise be able to is worth more than just the value of the money owed!

Also, thanks thiagovscoelho, now I have 20x more options! :D

OK. Are you living in Pakistan, and she's coming from the US?
Keep in mind that for some electrical appliances it might be unsafe to use some 120V/60Hz on 220V/50Hz power grids. Also the power plug will be different, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Can it be a non-gadget? If you want something you might not get outside US, I know poeple say some sweets are difficult to find outside the Americas (e.g. salt water taffy). I can look for other examples, but since all the stuff you mentioned seem to be non-edible, I don't know if sweets is what you'd want to consider.
I like where ZFR is going with this. What part of the US does she live in? There are regional specialties concerning food that just can't be done the same outside of that region.

i.e. if she is in Texas, put some BBQ brisket, chicken fried steak, and some Tex-Mex in a cooler with dry ice. Mmm. :)

Who cares, her rep is now a movie phone number.
Hmmm... 120 dollars, you say! And *she*, not he, owes that sum. What could i ask for from someone who owns me 120 dollars, i wonder... Heh heh.

On second thought. I don't know. I have no idea. A tough call. Many people owe me many things, but should i felt so moved as to pursue interests involved, that wouldn't bode well for them and their own well-being. Thankfully, i have no power or means to even think of it as a possibility, making others "pay their debts" to me.

Choose well and enjoy your brand new possession!

SimonG has sadly left these shores, so may I be the first to suggest: Hookers and Blow!

There is the power difference, but I've seen most adapters nowadays allow for the entire range. I have several devices bought in the US, so it shouldn't be a problem.

It certainly doesn't have to be electronics. She knows I have a soft spot for jelly bellies, but she also knows I know she knows, so she better be bringing some anyhow!

I seem to remember that transporting...cooked foodstuff(?) is not allowed.

Also, hookers don't fit in suitcases, and blow would probably also cause problems at the airport :(.

Isn't it 4.30 am in Karachi? When do you sleep.

Anyway, I found something else. Lots of suggestions here.

At the current exchange rate, you just have to multiply the quanities by 1.27. So for example instead of an electric shaver, you get 1.27 of electric shavers. Instead of 40 frozen pizzas you get 50.8 frozen pizzas, instead of ∞ copies of Teenagent you get ∞ copies of Teenagent... you get the drift.

EDIT: On a more serious note - a hand made usb stick (depending on capacity, it might be within price range):
