No, ChatGPT is not having more brain cells than me:

Hello human, I am a GPT-powered AI chatbot. Ask me anything!

Can you tell me what it means? Defect Reason: E01 ECN?

Defect Reason: E01 ECN is a specific code or classification used to indicate the reason for a defect or error. Unfortunately, without further context or information, I cannot provide a precise meaning for E01 ECN. It is likely an internal designation or code used within a particular system or organization. If you have access to additional information or can provide more context, I may be able to assist you further in understanding its specific meaning.

I was checking the board from the outside a little: So far it looks like nothing has been done. Even the thermal pad of the M2 SSD is still a bit broken, because when i was removing the sink, some of the thermal pad material got "ripped of". Not really a issue but it could be fixed during repair... they was not touching it at all.

If the "internal" stuff has been repaired i will find out around 2. August, when my new CPU is arriving. Because i am to lazy taking apart the old CPU yet and i need it for work during the weekend. From the outside, nothing seems to have changed at all. It looks like the shop was just putting it inside their storage and then giving it back 6 weeks after... but this is indeed a conspiracy theory (to be honest... i find it even realistic....).

What i actually expect from a GOOD repair, that they fix every single issue or bad shape of the material at any spot, and if done they will make a proper package, so it looks almost new and shiny. But the box was looking like they never was packaging a board at all and the board, with the only physical issue, the ripped thermal pad... was not fixed so far. More to be revealed at 2. August.

When it comes to a backup-PC, i do not want the AM5 platform for a backup because this is a ticking bomb... immature and not failure proof. AM4 would be the way better backup platform at a better price. Performance is not everything...

5700X or 5800 X3D is the second and third best gamer CPU and very mature yet.

Many times they'll replace the item because it's easier, though it may be replaced with a refurbished one, but if it is easier to repair then that is the first option.
But about the messed up box, heh, remember when I took this computer for repairs because it no longer controlled fan speeds, they remained fixed regardless of temps, and since I was there also wanted them to look into the front panel because the contacts were iffy. When I go to pick it up, the case's side panels were put on backwards, as in the one with the fan mounts and grates was behind the backplate and the flat one in its place, the side fan was mounted in a top fan slot (since it obviously couldn't be mounted as a side fan anymore), the front panel wasn't even connected anymore, and the RAM sticks were in the wrong slots for a 2 stick configuration (according to the MBs manual, at least). Sat on my butt on the floor in front of the desk of the person who had the paperwork for it, sighed and moved everything in its proper place before picking it up. But at least that problem was fixed. Nothing done about the front panel though.
I've been rapidly losing weight the past few months. In the past week alone I've lost 5 lbs. It doesn't seem to matter how much I eat. I'm 6'3" tall (about 190 cm) and I now weigh 130 lbs (about 59 kg). I used to weight 180 lbs (about 81 to 82 kg).

Based on my symptoms, family medical history, etc, the most likely cause is advanced pancreatic cancer. My grandfather died of the same thing. When he died, he weighed more than I do now.
Sorry to hear, yet i still hope it is something "less problematic", the chance is not so good. Because this clearly sounds like a hormone related issue and usually if it is happening all of a sudden there is a serious issue with a organ linked to "hormone production": Yet, there is several organs able to produce such issues, but in this case you could be correct regarding the organ involved (especially with this background).

Unfortunately, nowadays biggest illness is clearly cancer and i think it will even increase... so it is kinda a "super illness" and the pain of humanity. Yet, we was afraid a lot about a virus and the drama caused by it was the biggest ever seen. However, we should worry cancer way more because no other sickness is that deadly. The human is behaving in a way like "if used to a certain condition" they may stop worrying... and kinda accepting the situation, no matter how critical it seems to be. Ultimately it comes to the "understanding" as cancer they seem to understand, yet they mostly fail to cure it, or if so with very big damage as a side effect.

Yet, you have to understand, in your daily life... avoiding external hormones as much as possible, because it can not only cause very bad side effects, it is even able to boost the risk of cancer. It is a very big issue but most people may barely care because it is "normal" to them, unlike a "dangerous virus" wiping out humanity, which was not even the case but at least this was our picture.

Surely, you should try to find out the cause and trying to find a cure the fastest way possible: Do not waste time because time is critical yet!

A refurbished one is actually a repaired one as well. However, from my view it has been handled in a repair factory somewhere in China because of lesser cost. In this case the time they need for repair is that huge so they offer you a "refurbished replacement" of a already repaired device.

Yet, when it comes to that motherboard, actually Gigabyte was causing my CPU to become damaged (very certain, i can not find any other odds anymore) because of unsafe voltages applied by EXPO (and without my consent), and even if you update this boards BIOS the voltage is still not safe (still above 1.35 V on the SOC). Ultimately, i do not want to use this board anymore because i do consider it dangerous and only "safe to use at stock RAM". However, on a EATX board, the users usually want to use EXPO so this is a "failed thing".

In my mind, the entire board is simply a mess... and i may sound heartless, i just want to make those bastards pay for my damaged CPU! I just find it sad having a nearly busted and very expensive CPU. Yet. I do not know if AMD is gonna replace it, but i will check it out soon. I had to get a new CPU for this to happen because, as i can not wait another up to 2 months for the CPU to get back AT A UNKNOWN CONDITION EVEN.. because i am USING my PC... i am not one buying a PC for the joy of "owning it"...

In worst case, the CPU will come back in 6 weeks and AMD may say "we see no failure and EXPO can not be granted"... do you see my almost hopeless situation? I just want to make those people responsible for pay... because the entire matter was very unprofessional and i clearly feel innocent here.

And regarding the CPU i am pretty sure yet, as i was doing so many tests with different hardware. When i get the new CPU and it will work properly with EXPO, then i can 100% backup my findings: Now it would consider it about 95% chance because the odds for other issues (bad board, bad RAM, bad BIOS) is nearly zero already.

And, i already told: My intention are that the people responsible for WILL PAY and that i get my hardware back in a condition so i am able to sell it without issues (happening at the new customer). This is my intention now....
BUT i will not use it myself anymore... im am totally fed up... and i already got new hardware yet.

This is simply a very expensive and problematic platform in my mind and AMD, if any damage happen, they should feel responsible for instead of "blaming the customers".

For the new 7800 X3D CPU, which basically got the same SOC, i consider up to 1.25 V to be "safe", however, i will manually adjust it to 1.2 V. Most likely, if the CPU is not a failed silicon... it will handle 1.2 V using specified (by manufacturer) 1.25 V RAM. If the CPU is a weak silicon i may consider exchanging it (possible for the first 30 days) and switching it out with a second CPU of the same type, we will see. Most likely the new CPU should be fine, especially with the new BIOS improvements.

This sounds "ugly" but i can totally back up this experience. It looks like somewhat "made without love", just "getting the job done somehow".

There is still the trick of using a very cheap board, so the cost of repair is simply to high; in this case you get a instant replacement. However, unfortunately i am not a fitting customer for the "cheap boards" (to less features... for example not enough SSD slots); else i would have almost no RMA issues anymore.

Xeshra: Yet, you have to understand, in your daily life... avoiding external hormones as much as possible, because it can not only cause very bad side effects, it is even able to boost the risk of cancer.
It actually can depend on which hormone, and which type of cancer.

In some cases, the effects of external hormones can be worth the risks. In other cases, hormones, or hormone blockers, may be prescribed as part of a regimen for treating cancer (particularly if it's cancer of a reproductive organ, which the pancreas, I'm pretty sure, is not).

Also, keep in mind that you need *some* sex hormone, or, from what I understand, you're at risk of developing osteoporosis.

In any case, you're better off asking someone who knows more about this than anyone here about this, like your doctor or pharmacist. (At least where I'm from, you'd need a prescription for any medication that would change your hormone levels significantly.)
It was never meant in order to judge any kind of medication which is some sort of treatment i can not and will not judge about because this is not my job nor duty. Medication is the matter of those in charge of it and it may even involve using hormones or hormone blockers.

What i actually meant is, avoiding hormone exposure when it comes to the environment and food... sometimes even other kind of pollution. Those kind of "hormones" or other substances are critical and you never know what you actually get in this "daily exposure" which can be a pretty challenging mix.

I was never talking about "internal hormones"; those produced by the body. As long as the body is healthy the hormones are required and a critical part of the body in order to work properly. However, exactly this matter makes it so critical if there is to much uncontrolled "external exposure". It does not include a specified medication, a matter i can and will not judge about.

Besides, actually not a sad thing: My 7800 X3D from another shop was arriving already, pretty surprised it was done so fast... so, today i will test out the old system, and then upgrading the new system. I hope the new system will work fine and i may get some clear validation regarding the old system. A lot of work i rather want to avoid but it seems, on a new platform it is unable to be avoided, at least for the unlucky ones.

7800X 3D installed yet, all the issues i previously had was gone, i mean completely gone. I can now use EXPO at 1.25 V 5600/36 @64 GB and the system will start up bloody fast, several times faster than with my old 7950X and restart works as many time i want, just everything works at EXPO now, even with low Volt and huge RAM amount.

So, on the hardware level a complete success i would say. Ingame the loading time seems to be even faster than the old CPU and the temperature is lower too... this CPU so far seems to behave like crazy, but in a good way.

So i definitely want to keep this CPU, mad stuff! And the board is working properly too... together with this CPU, so i would say CPU and board are fine now. The old CPU is definitely defective... this is now 100% certain, sad enough but at least the issue is now clear to me. I think. the board was taking to long with the old CPU because it had massive issues making the memory training and it was kinda starting over and over... with almost no success.

However, i got a new issue: I forgot to put the GPU cable inside, and then the board was kinda locked at start up, on the first go. However, there should not be any damage caused because this GPU got sufficient protection with the best controller chip available. Ingame everything works properly, the GPU works fine. But the issue is, the MSI Afterburner is all of a sudden unable to detect the GPU anymore. If i look at driver detection, the Afterburner is unable to detect the driver (it says "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". I never had this issue ever, so i am kinda lost here.

What i can say... the GPUZ Utility is able to read out the GPU properly and can show me all the specs, so the issue is not on the hardware level, it is most likely a software issue but it totally dunno the cause of it.

Most likely the Afterburner issue is NOT linked to this failure. but rather there is some entry on the OS screwed because i was changing the CPU which, for the OS... is a huge change. I was already reinstalling the GPU drivers, reinstalling Afterburner too, trying to wipe old drivers but so far no success.

I never made such a failure ever regarding the GPU but all this shitty mess was going on my nerves and moneybag so much... i think i am "overworked" and making failures i usually never do.

There is really not any detectable GPU issue, it runs every game in a crazy pace... just this weird Afterburner issue.... i am just lost.

OK, issue solved. Afterburner was monitoring, weird enough because who needs this crap.... the SOC GPU from the CPU because the GPU at the time of the failure was probably disabled or maybe just because of the new CPU... i can not say.

However, this is even more weird... it was actually showing me the performance from the 3090TI, not the non existent performance of the SOC-GPU. Usually this board is using a hybrid mode... this means, at desktop use the main GPU is most likely disabled, thus allowing for a higher efficiency. Not even exactly sure how this works, i still have to find out the exact behavior but at least the issue is solved yet. Everything running great now... almost a happy end.

However, i am totaly poor now and i dunno if the RMA of the old CPU is getting accepted or if AMD... to a good customer... will just show "the middle finger"... we will find out. Surely i can not sell the old CPU in this condition, i may not be a good human but i am not Lucifer.

Regarding the old board, who was destroying my once great CPU: I could care less if it actually works... my nerves are not allowing me in order to test it anymore. Maybe i sell it at a crazy low price and the other issues... should be the matter of the buyer, i am sorry but at least i will sell it almost for free. I mean i was using PCs for over 30 years already but this is the first CPU that ever has been killed... so sad, really.

Very sorry to hear that. That certainly doesn't sound healthy. It must be a very scary situation for you.
But please stop guessing and/or diagnosing yourself, relying on the Internet for advice. Instead, go see a doctor immediately for a professional treatment!! Maybe the cause is something completely different, but you are too narrowly focused on family history to even consider it?

Interesting video. The thing is, many boards are NOT effectively applying the Volt adjusted and visible inside BIOS. Instead the "true" Volt can be much higher, sometimes up to 0.2 V higher. This is the difference between perfectly save and "it is gonna explode", so, many manufacturers got terrible quality issues and it is a big hassle finding out which board is "safe". But until now, i was underestimating this issue which was hitting me hard... i just was not able to even guess that this industry with nowadays that expensive boards can sometimes fail so hard.

Why it matters? Well it doesnt as long as the applied EXPO (which should be officially set up as a "safe" value) will apply a healthy Volt, but apparently it does not always work.

On my new board i was able to detect 1.308 V on the SOC using a 1,25 V kit, which is according to AMD "safe" but i could be 1,35 instead... who knows (even on a 700 USD board). Anyway, i was setting it to 1,208 V now, yet. i dunno if this is the real value. As a customer you just have to make endless research and if it fails... you are even the one to be blamed; this really have to stop now, not acceptable. Yet i dunno why they use such high Volt for supporting a 1,25 V Kit, it seems like they are not even trying to adapt to the kit, instead using some "standard value".

https:/.../www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQB7ELwBbVI&t=1221s

OK, after a lot of testing my new 7800X3D seems to run fine using a huge 64 GB kit 5600/ CL 36 using those specs. The critical specs which are usually pushed up in a deadly manner are marked red and so far i can run it stable at only around 1,17 V, which is simply critically lower than the manufacturers "pushed up settings", just crazy somehow. I had to learn it the hard way: Never trust a manufacturer and handle it yourself. I think, using a 32 GB kit, even 1.15 V or lower should be totally stable. However, a 64 GB kit is 4% faster. The DDR5 as far as i can tell is not sensitive to high voltage but it is not much use going higher than the spec, because the bottleneck is usually at the SOC.

Heck, even 1,12 V seems to work on my huge kit! Imagine having it at 1,41 all the time for no reason...

Sad? Arriving at this forum and facing bad stuff.

I wanted to know if the CDN is more-or-less fine to change my CSV sheet that I use to know what's going on (thanks EVE Online for that habit), for friends who asked for that, for random people too. What did I face 1st? Wild "you are a bot" accusations, mistrust with the attempts to strip-off my humanity from me. Someone else managed to false-report me! Wild? Yes. Do you think the issues ended there? No, they have not. Someone additionally decided to act on emotions, and has filled the a-bit-missing context by what wanted to see instead of what it is, making a misreading. As the result of their actions, I got profanities in my address multiple times, plus they said they "reported" me, apparently for "the crime" of making a sheet in my LibreOffice.

In the meantime, someone else contacted me in DMs, wished to be "a friend." This felt naive to me, but I thought "Why not?" and gave them one fair chance, "What could possibly go wrong?" They were OK, appeared empathic. For the start, have civilly discussed some topics, nothing too remarkable; They claimed to be my age before I knew theirs and it's likely so judging by the attitude. Then they suddenly told as if "it's night here," rudely removed the friend status and cancelled the chat without any warning whatsoever or explanation, making no sense. That's not how a friend acts. What can I make from his? The only possible explanation is that, considering I did mention to be in a minority group, perhaps this person didn't have a good heart. Maybe it's for the better then. Well, the good part is they didn't lash out like the abother. Can I call that experience good? No, this was not right.

Do you know how all places have a vibe. Right? The vibe is painted by both the environment and the people. This place is a sad one to me. I don't want to see it anymore and I won't.
[ChatGPT?]Bot ^^^ with emotions and appears to be very judgemental too. Lol...
So it's been a completely awful weekend, starting with yesterday...

1> I nearly destroyed my laptop when it slid off my lap. Fortunately, it also slid down my legs onto the floor.

2> While pouring swimming pool water on dog urine so that the patio won't stink, I got splashed with water that technically has dog urine mixed in. This happened twice, most recently at 5:30am thus I couldn't go back to bed after.

3> One of the cats vomited on a litter mat and when I was rinsing it off, I got splashed in the face with litter mat vomit water.

4> I came into contact with the same plant that I'm allergic to and get hives if I touch multiple times.

5> Things have been so exhausting that I accidentally locked myself out of the house while taking recycling out while it was 90F (32.2222C) outside, and it took several minutes before I could get the attention of someone inside the house to let me in.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go hide from everything for the rest of the weekend.
What made me sad today?

The same thing that makes me sad most days ... the behavior of some other people, especially those in a position of power.

Other things can make me sad too, like not living forever, but people behavior is enough to go on with.
