Falci: The first Guilty Gear came out in 1998.

Today, after almost 20 freakin' years, I finally understood that Zato-1 is a reference to Zatoichi.

*facepalm*

But I'm happy, nevertheless, for understanding why the character has such a weird name.

dtgreene: Is the Zatoichi Bo (not Bow; you don't shoot arrows with it) found in some Wizardry games (including Wizardry 8), by any chance, a reference to Zatoichi? (If it helps, in Wizardry 8 this weapon is classified as a quarterstaff, is only usable by Samurai and Monks, and can be used to cast Blinding Flash.)

(I have actually never heard of Zatoichi, to be honest.)
"Zatoichi (座頭市 Zatōichi) is a fictional character featured in one of Japan's longest running series of films and a television series that are both set during the late Edo period (1830s and 1840s). The character, a blind masseur and blademaster, was created by novelist Kan Shimozawa."

"A 2003 film, Zatōichi, was directed by Takeshi Kitano who also starred as Zatōichi in the film. The film was awarded the Venice Film Festival's Silver Lion for Best Direction in 2003."

-Wikipedia

The latter is an excellent movie by the way ^__^

My armor mod in Skyrim has started coming together and I'd say it's maybe at 80%. it's just a kitbash. still. I never modded Skyrim or any Bethesda game before. past couple of weeks it's been a bit of a trek through CK, papyrus, nifskope, digging out all the tools and stuff and finding where things are now, while working on a couple mods that do different things. I was pleased when the armor started looking nice though. even if it is just a very simple kitbash.
Last night i made a big discovery. As i used to, sometime ago, i frequented certain social media, in order to get my fix of daily free eyecandy and there i made a ton of friends in the past, especially cute, little, naughty schoolgirls that were quite the exhibitionists, too... A flash here, an undie slide there, even full frontal nudity and intimate "pet the *cat* " situations... Too bad moderators started banning their profiles and dropping their hammers all over the place... A cute little she-devil one second showed some bare skin and less than half a minute later, her profile was deleted and all her content REMOVED!

Someone must have told them, though, that in certain websites, they could be playful, keel being the sweethearts they are (by making other people happy too, besides themselves...) and even make (pocket)money too, while doing so! While i was navigating my favorite sex-cam paysite, i almost died from happiness, seeing all the cute little schoolgirls i knew from before, at least some of them, migrated there! Clever little she-devils, they even wrote in their bio 18, 19+! Wow i was in for some treat!

Too bad, though, society's hypocrisy and multiple layers of twisted standards, actually drove the little angels into the dark corner of the net... Wouldn't it be better for everyone if the social sites weren't so strict? The "minors" they were supposedly protecting, are now inside legit porn sites and even some of their transmissions were recorded and uploaded in hardcore porn sites (i have some addresses that i visit, which store uploads from recorded webcam transmissions and allow them free watching from everybody). What was wrong with some flashing for friends, or some "relief" to be seen through webcam by their fans? Now everybody can see it, not everybody is confidential and trustworthy and no one knows how to keep a secret, or most importantly, protect the people they are friends with and their privacy.

I really wonder though, who was the bastard who advised them to go at paysites... Well, at least they are very helpful as usual, they don't make everything they do exclusive to private shows! America, there are some things about you that i really love! You are indeed the land of freedom! Not in the letters, headlines and title, but underground, as EVER! God damn, i wish i had such hot classmates back when i was in middle and highschool, those modern teens are like a bar of TNT with a sizzling spark ready to explode it!

Today I got to look at protozoa in activated poop from the town's waste treatment facility. Seeing them on videos absolutely pales in comparison to seeing it first hand. I never thought looking at a drop of human waste down a microscope could make me so happy and appreciative of life. I stand corrected from my last post here... microbiology is awesome!

The REUNION! And most importantly, the absence of the constant threat of their profile being deleted at first hint of a mere flash!!!

I got my Digital integration Tornado forum hosted on Dogsofwarvu. This allows me to have asynchronous discussions with Tornado (PC) flight simulator fans and fellow developers. Oh and we are working on 23-year old source code, so the going to enhance this classic flight simulator will be tough.

read: I'm a dope because I'm exhausted.

interpreted as: I'm exhausted from taking dope.

It's okay, I can't be bothered correcting anybody... time for bed methinks.
I slept great after not sleeping that well for two nights. And my bed felt like the most comfortable place in the multiverse this morning, it's been a while since the last time this happened.

I feel so great right now that I expect to be President of Earth by this 22:00 today. I'll even let GOG member not call me Master, at least for the first week.

Throw in a few M4 rifles and a pepperoni pizza and you got a deal.

I only just found out that the Phoenix Down item in Final Fantasy is actually a Down ( feather) of a Phoenix.

Just thought it was some bullshit name Square came up with.
Signed up to the site "Craft", which allows me to view every element of an animated film or tv show (storyboards, model sheets, etc.) as well as read and respond to comments left by the artists behind these elements. So excited to learn from this!

Playing Wizardry Summoner (GBA) right now and discovering how the game mechanics differ from those of classic Wizardry games.

One strange observation: The game gives you ludicrous amounts of gold right from the start, but early enemies give very little experience. Another is that traps are deadly (Fireball trap, the most basic type, did 29 damage to my level 1 thief. Ouch!), but you get lots of treasure right away.

Yeah, that took me a while to figure out too, much because since English is not my mother language, I didn't associate the word down with the meaning of a feather.
