pigdog: My lovely daughter hit a milestone age (I'm a bit paranoid about being specific)

"A ray of sunshine" is not even close to what she brings to friends and family......I'm bursting with pride.
Congratulations! As an uncle myself, I can imagine how you must feel.

As for myself: I got called in to work tonight. Why would that make me happy? It's overtime, baby! :D
What made me happy today, you know what made me happy today :)
Had a couple game discs for my old computer arrive today (Fire Fight and Necrodome).
The Stanley Cup Playoffs started.
Made it home from Omaha Tuesday with a UHaul towing an auto-transport trailer with my Outback on it, and faced almost no wind the entire trip. Got lucky - it was blowing hard in Omaha Monday and here in town yesterday. Dodged that bullet with a fluke of timing. It's a real pain to handle a lightly loaded UHaul truck with a trailer in a big crosswind - I still have the white knuckles from a previous trip to prove that one so I'm feeling quite fortunate this time around.
Play time!/
On Monday, my honoured 19'' monitor died. Today, my father gifted me a new, 23'' monitor with high resolution. I tried UT, I'm INSIDE it. Me is happy.
Was finally able to get outside and start planting my garden properly after a late freeze. Also planted a dozen trees from the Arbor Day Foundation. Hoping to have enough time to get stuff growing before the heat furnace of summer gets turned on.
Speaking of gardening and the like, I almost forgot this one. I was loading up the UHaul at a customer in Omaha Tuesday morning and heard a lawn mower running. Looked arond the side of the truck and I see a guy pushing the mower... through the snow-covered grass on the shaded side of the building. haha.

I'm thinking it's something like, "Hey, the contract says we start lawn care on April 15. It says nothing about the state of the lawn itself on that day."

Not sure if it qualifies as a 'happy', but it certainly gave me a laugh.
Being able to afford eating in my favourite fast food restaurant (a vegan one) and enjoying it again, just like every second day atm. :)

Getting all those language versions of today's updated games out to everyone :)

Props go out to our QA and programmers for this :)

And let's not forget our marketing bros for getting the news out as well :)

Oh damn, I just realize I forgot to water the vegetables I planted last week. Weather was hot and dry today, so I wanted to water the garden in the evening, but I forgot. Too busy playing Dragon Age. Not as bad though as the Korean father who spent three days in a gaming cafe, forgetting all about his toddler, letting him starve to death (I read it on msn.nl today).

Vegan fastfood, I'd like that! In my neighbourhood there's only fries to be had, cheesesoufflé and vegetable croquette. So mostly I opt for a pizza. But the pizza and souffle are only vegetarian, not vegan. Downtown is a falafal bar, but it's no fastfood if you have to travel 15 minutes and back by bike for it.

My working place is not far away, so it's real fast food for me.

Eh, I wouldn't worry. Letting plants dry out a bit can actually help their growth. Roots have to dig deeper and expand to find water in the soil. Tomatoes and peppers especially can benefit from a small dry spell. Just don't forget for too long. But no matter how often you water them, it's still nothing compared to a healthy rain.
Having my wife's laptop boot up today after I replaced the keyboard last night. I'm am so happy as I thought the damn thing died on me. After gutting it twice looking for loose connections, turns out tension on a board was causing it to lift off its contact. Now I can enjoy the day, and Easter too.

Happy Easter all!
