Vythonaut: Typical "kids".. :D :D :D
Now listening to Mogwai - Mr. Beast
Languages were something that my high school taught 4 of during the first year(well 5 if you count English). We did French, German, Japanese and Latin. I found the latter least interesting when I was 13 but as I have a love of etymology(the origin and history of words) I find it the most interesting now. Tarnicus: Έχετε υπέροχο στήθος της - - She did indeed and I was told that it was the "polite" way to say such a thing. Hey I was 14, I can be forgiven for thinking with my 'other' brain at that age, right? :P
Vythonaut: Well, yes that is a very polite way to say such a thing to a woman (translation for anyone else reading this: "you have beautiful breasts").. In fact it could be a compliment as long as you know her - well, if you didn't know her it could be a compliment as long as your eyes don't tell "sex - sex- sex" but better play safe than sorry! And of course, if you wanted to be unpolite there are countless words in slang language that could earn you a *slap* from that woman.. :D :D Now listening to Mogwai - Mr. Beast
I did know Anastasia(the Greek girl mentioned) and was very shy and polite and a little bit cheeky. Nothing happened but she did appreciate the attention :) I did ask my Greek friends Jim and Angelo how to say it in a nice way, so that is good to hear confirmation that it was said the way I intended. As for the other Greek language I learned...well it isn't fit for public consumption but had a lot to do with dogs, mothers, prostitution and body parts and functions. Horrid stuff but amusing at the time.
I really liked the music you linked. I'll see your post-rock Glaswegian band and offer a post-hardcore Welsh band in return Funeral For a Friend - 1% that a Glaswegian lass introduced me to :)
The international community on GOG constantly remind me how much positive sharing of similarities and differences our species can enjoy. It is a refreshing change :)
