Looking at the list of 50, i can't help but be underwhelmed, as there is hardly even 5 games of those i'd touch.

I don't know... the N64 and it's games just don't interest me.

Potzato: Not 50 yet ?

Add Turok : Rage Wars then.
Very solid and unique arena deathmatch FPS. With its own asymetries, numerous skins, Turokesque weaponry (cerebral bore, inflator, emaciator ... ), and great music.
okay now we have 50 ;p

Was Soul Reaver ever released for Nintendo 64? No? OK then, so I guess I don't have anything... Nah I'm just fooling, looks like you forgot about all the good ones like: Superman 64, both Castlevanias, Quest 64. Repent of your sins.

I love this one, damn serious!
The only thing I really regret about n64 was speding 0.50 cents on that Doraemon mario 64 style game.
Unplayable and completely blend.

snowkatt, I vote for some Mario Party games!

That's kind of the magic of the N64. Even at the time many games didn't look enticing, but in the end, the proof of the pudding is in the eating (with friends/family).

One example : Silicon valley. I am sure you never heard of this game and I think it's the best game of the platform. Which says a lot of the 'lack of exposure' the whole N64 catalogue had. I think it's due to the fact the system was quickly dismissed in the "kids category" because it didn't spearheaded graphical breakthroughs and ... the 'Mario vibe'. And that is a real shame.
actually i hate mario party
the cpu is totally complete unfair and activley cheats
the mini games are insipid and wrist and controller wrecking
and the games are boring

the onlygame thats worse is that bloody sonic game

I say it's a good attitude to have in general, regret is really not worth relieving no matter how you look at it. From my point of view it's always better to be medicated than depressed, excluding some actual personal tragedies like a death of close relative or some such.

I though few titles looked actually very good at the time at least in the promotional materials, Ocarina of Time, 1080 Snowboarding, Super Mario 64 appeared to look better than their close counterparts on other platforms. Also, N64 had the texture smoothing which (somewhere back in 1997) gave it the edge over other consoles in my eyes, and I'm pretty sure it was not only my impression. Buying into it would have been a costly mistake in the end.

Ah, yes, good (infinite question marks?) ol' Sonic Shuffle, which was made by the same dev team as Mario Party.. which explains a lot.

I was referring to him liking the game, and not regretting N64 etc., maybe in a broader sense than it needed to be. Give me some slack people, you made me feel like a total weirdo. :/

Nah, you're cool :P
Long live the n64. So many great (and unknown) titles that'll make your head spin. And mostly inexpensive nowadays.

I could drink to that. After 15 years at very least (mostly) inexpensive. Seriously though, I think I still should check at least a few games from this system.

Which is a shame, because I was just thinking about trying it.
