It seems that the new iphone X has what I believe is the most stupid idea ever conceived of in smartphones. The area at the top of the screen containing the camera and other things obstructs full screen images. So every movie, every game, every app which runs full screen will have the image obstructed. On that edge you will only be able to see the top and bottom of the image. What a stupid idea!
But it's ~innovative~
If it does, isn't that a software problem? If so surely, there will be a patch. In fact, it's such a obvious issue that I find it impossible to believe it could have been overlooked. Maybe there's something wrong with your phone.

I also feel it is such an obvious issue it is hard to believe it could have been overlooked. But there it was in the launch event. A game being played full screen with the image obstructed by the area which contains the camera. Look at the screenshot which I have attached. You can see the image is obstructed.

I see it. I've never owned an iPhone or seen one of their launch events, so I don't know how it works, but does the launch event have the final version of the product, or is it still a demo.

The only other explanation I can think of, is that they just don't care, and assume that the software developers will modify their products to work around the phone's eccentricities.

I personally would have said the most stupid idea was paying over $1000 for a phone...

But it has face recognition for your password, so it's worth every penny, plus think how important you will look with one of these ;).

Yes, I believe the software behind the facial recognition software is: isthistheguilibleidiot framework.
But look, it so shiny and reflects my starbucks cup so well...
Apple is now referring to its stores as 'town squares'. Read that without cringing if you can.

Yeah, I'm with you. It's disorganized design, having features jointed out of place like that. I don't know why, but that picture makes the phone look more old-fashioned instead of sleeker.
The whole presentation just cemented my love for the iPhone SE even more.Gotta hold on to it as long as i can ;).Cheers

What? A stupid idea that did not come from GOG? Impossible! We need to get all the stupid ideas here, DRM-free! ;-)

If only we could send out Starbucks cups printed with this :)

I still have my dumb phone & wouldn't trade it for the world. Trouble is, I know it won't last forever :(
