Let me see your war face, son.

Playing at war often involves controlling dozens of soldiers, heavy artillery, perhaps some air forces for an extra strategic layer. Other times, all it takes to change the course of a conflict is a strong-willed band of hardened specialists that know how to get the job done. This Weekend Sale celebrates both approaches.

Fast-paced RTS action in blocky battlefields is what 8-Bit Armies is all about. Go solo or team up with friends to build a formidable stronghold before you go out and blow up the environment to pieces.

They don't look like much but what they lack in fancy clothing and weapons they make up for in gumption, guile and grime. Recruit the most unflinching Battle Brothers and go show that low fantasy open world what you're made of.

The Weekend Sale ends July 2nd, 10pm UTC.

For that price the Commandos series is really a steal. Warmly recommended!

The Commandos games have problems working on modern Windows OS.
Yes, you can use dgVoodoo, but... to much hassle. Also, these games have fixed resolutions, another thing to consider if you are using a widescreen monitor.

I rather recommend Shadow Tactics:

How does Dream fit into that theme? *puzzled*
I'm STILL pissed the hell off at them breaking up the Blitzkrieg anthologies into like 6 separate downloads in my library.

What a stupid fucking call.
I can tell you one thing, unless GOG start paying people to take it away, and then really consider it, don't waste your money on Tempest, it is terrible. Phone game, they couldn't even be bothered to change the buttons from phone, or sort the ui out. Easily my second worst purchase from here - Man Of War being the worst.
S2: Silent Storm sure is tempting

Yes, but Shadow Tactics is not 0.99+0.89! XD

Also, S2: Silent Storm is FANTASTIC. Totally destructible environment, each piece with its own resistance coefficient (which means you can shoot in wooden floors to hit who is above or below, demolish walls, pierce metal with powerful mounted guns), plus excellent turn based tactics-rpg hybrid with accurate weaponry.
8-bit Armies is really fun. It's basically the Command & Conquer formula remade into something better suited for shorter bursts, with some good replayabilty built in.
"Full Metal Jacket", perhaps?

Ugh ... no ... must ... resist!
You can't even buy the Commandos series in Germany. It is rated 16 and isn't even on the index, so I am not sure why Gog is being so disappointing nowadays.
