World-renowned Games Workshop, in conjunction with several of their licensed partners, including GOG, today announces that the much-anticipated Warhammer Skulls event is returning for its sixth year this June.

Following on from last year’s success, the ultimate festival of Warhammer video gaming will launch on June 1st with a showcase featuring world premieres, new trailers and behind-the-scenes sneak peeks. GOG has also planned some cool activities around the Warhammer franchise so be sure to check the front page once the event goes live!

Anyone wanting to watch the action live and keep up to date with all things Skulls can follow Warhammer on Twitch and use the hashtag #WarhammerSkulls to be part of the conversation across all social media platforms.

MartiusR: I'm personally not raising my hopes too high - my guess is that amongst "new titles" there will be something like Space Hulk (one of those turn-based/tactic games, not the team shooter which is already there), Necromunda: Underhive or Inquisitor: Martyr.

I think Dogmaus is right and Final Liberation as freebie is IMO quite probable.

Syphon72: Inquisitor: Martyr will never come to GOG since it's 100% always online game.
Ah, ok, didn't know that. Then I'm betting on Space Hulk or Necromunda: underhive :)
Oh, and I forgot, that they removed Sonic 1, 2 and 3 from this "new" collection on Steam.

Read the comments there.

Any of the Dawn of War games would be amazing, but years of experience has told me to have zero expectations for anything going forward.

Ueber: Bring us Dawn of War I and I'm happy.
Countless others will be happy too, including myself... yet SEGA is still living in the 1980s. I have money to throw at a lot of their titles if they land on GOG, but I guess they don't want to get rich :P. A pity.

Battlesector is pretty good as a Dawn of War counterpart. Unfortunately, it's a hell of a data miner.

Turn-based gaming isn't really my jam, but thank you.

I meant the "newer one" linked by OPlays22 :) It's probably the third (or fourth?) iteration of this "newer" Space Hulk, as it was appearing previously under different title on Steam.

I think there was "Space Hulk (2013)" on PS3/Windows, then "Space Hulk: Ascension Edition (2014)" on PS4/Windows, but the publisher's only other game besides those 2 is Jagged Alliance Flashback which also isn't on GOG

Oh yes, thanks for the refresher, I had in mind those two :)

Since they're no longer available and the Space Hulk: Tactics is from Cyanide Studio/Focus Entertainment, I guess this make it relatively probable title to appear on GOG.
Oh, I remember that old Space Hulk game from a computer magazin back in 1994 or so, but that's it.

I never played any of these, not the old nor the newer games.
blood bowl 3 please! :)

tfishell: Maybe they just don't want to bother with GOG because the ROI wouldn't be worthwhile for the time spent bringing the games here? Seems like one could replace SEGA with basically any "AAA" publisher on GOG, like no new games during the EA and Bethesda sales.
avatar
OPlays22: But SEGA could at least put some older Mega Drive/Genesis titles here. So, that GOG users could also have some legal SEGA console games.

In the past there were some of their older titles available on DotEmu store and Humble Store, If I remember correctly, these were more or less DRM free. Howerer these are not available anymore and they are only selling the collection titled SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics, that you can activate on Steam.

And rather than a simple menu, you have an 3D room with a CRT TV etc. I don't like it.
I'd love for that to happen but again, in SEGA's opinion maybe the time and resources spent bringing the games here wouldn't be worthwhile for them, unfortunately. (I should have added a few words in my original post)
Dark Omen when?

DmUa: Dark Omen when?
Later today (in a little less than 8 hours or even earlier), possibly maybe?

According to this the following developers/publishers are confirmed to participate:

Meta Quest (for those Sororitas and Age of Sigmar VR experiences I guess)

Focus (+ Saber Interactive for more on Space Marine 2, something new for Necromunda: Hired Gun?, GoG-release of Necromunda: Underhive Wars?, GoG-release of Space Hulk Tactics?, something completely new?)

Fatshark (for more on Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, something new for Warhammer: Vermintide 2)

Nacon (for more on Blood Bowl 3, announcement of Warhammer: Chaosbane 2?, something completely new?)

Slitherine (something new for Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, something new for Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War?, something completely new?)

SEGA (for more on Total War: Warhammer III, GoG-release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine???, GoG-release of the Dawn of War trilogy???)

+

GoG-release of Warhammer 40.000: Inquisitor - Martyr??? (unlikely due to always online dependency)
GoG-release of something pre-Deathwing from the Space Hulk series???
