World-renowned Games Workshop, in conjunction with several of their licensed partners, including GOG, today announces that the much-anticipated Warhammer Skulls event is returning for its sixth year this June.

Following on from last year’s success, the ultimate festival of Warhammer video gaming will launch on June 1st with a showcase featuring world premieres, new trailers and behind-the-scenes sneak peeks. GOG has also planned some cool activities around the Warhammer franchise so be sure to check the front page once the event goes live!

Anyone wanting to watch the action live and keep up to date with all things Skulls can follow Warhammer on Twitch and use the hashtag #WarhammerSkulls to be part of the conversation across all social media platforms.
Fix the time bug in blood bowl 1 and I will buy it.

Swedrami: GoG still being listed as an approved partner over on sega.com may come to bear fruit after all.
And yet, not a single SEGA game here. Am I right or am I right?
I predict Final Liberation as a freebie. Of course, if I'm proved wrong I'll edit this comment to pretend I was right after all ;)

We may very well end up with Space Marine 2 here on day one, but not its 11-year old predecessor just because of SEGA's hardline DRM stance. I wonder how many more sales does SEGA expect to earn for their oldies by keeping them off this store?

That would be a pretty cool gift. To this day people talk about the game and its amazing cinematics.

Well, technically there's one.
Sega did released a patch for Alpha Protocol that removed the DRM. It was after they dumped it due to poor sales but still.

I think its the only Sega published game I own so I imagine it might have just been a one off. It may have been a way to cut costs not sure what DRM contracts are like or if the DRM was giving them bother and they thought rather than deal with support for it just remove it.

Quite a few of the publishers releasing Warhammer Stuff have a hard on for DRM.
Especially Denuvo, see Total war and the new Chaos Gate.
I'm personally not raising my hopes too high - my guess is that amongst "new titles" there will be something like Space Hulk (one of those turn-based/tactic games, not the team shooter which is already there), Necromunda: Underhive or Inquisitor: Martyr.

I think Dogmaus is right and Final Liberation as freebie is IMO quite probable.

But IIRC, Sega only became the publisher of that one after it had been here for a while. And I'm pretty sure there was at least one more title which was in that same situation, and that one was eventually removed from the store (though I don't even remember what it was now).
Though with Sega as far as I am aware having the rights to the Dawn of War games, dammit it would be cool to have the whole series on GOG.

Inquisitor: Martyr will never come to GOG since it's 100% always online game.

TheCleaner517: This event means nothing on GoG if you don't bring any new titles to the platform.
It seems to be out of GOG's hands. I'm sure they'd love to have more AAA games here, but if publishers don't want to bother because of DRM-free, GOG's very small market share / not enough money to be made here, or other reasons, there's nothing GOG can do other than use the event as an excuse to discount and push Warhammer titles that are already here.

TheCleaner517: Otherwise it's just a waste of time here and might as well go to Steam and check over there.
Everyone everywhere should just go to Steam always and forever and never use GOG again so GOG diiiiiieeeeessss :P ;)

Perhaps they, unfortunately, don't want to bother with GOG because the ROI wouldn't be worthwhile for the time spent bringing the games here? Seems like one could replace SEGA with basically any "AAA" publisher on GOG, like no new games during the EA and Bethesda sales.

But SEGA could at least put some older Mega Drive/Genesis titles here. So, that GOG users could also have some legal SEGA console games.

In the past there were some of their older titles available on DotEmu store and Humble Store, If I remember correctly, these were more or less DRM free. Howerer these are not available anymore and they are only selling the collection titled SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics, that you can activate on Steam.

And rather than a simple menu, you have an 3D room with a CRT TV etc. I don't like it.
