Mr.Caine: Lisa:The Painful RPG
Yeah? It definitely looks interesting, it's just so hard to tell if it is going to hold up or be meh.

Capitalism Plus, which is sold here on Gog.
I've mentioned this before, but Horizon Shift is an amazing game. Lilly Looking Through is another good one, particularly if you're nostalgic for stuff like Pajama Sam.

Also, I don't know if this counts as "unknown", but The Swapper is an absolute mind-blower.

Rep is too low to direct link, but you should be able to slap these URLs into your browser:

I'm surprised I haven't seen Nox mentioned as it usually shows up when this topic surfaces again.

Another surprisingly fun game is Escape Goat. It's a platformer but with a couple very well done twists. I haven't played the sequel yet, but the original was quite addictive, at least until the Insanity levels...

That is the opposite of unknown, come on....
Façade. Short, curious, interesting, clever. It's an adventure game, BTW.

Licurg: Sacrifice !

advancedhero: I've seen you post this a lot, is it really that good?
It is. The game was well received by critics and gamers alike but unexplicably wasn't well known even back in the day. That game is basically the definition of an unknown gem.
Majesty - The Fantasy Kingdom Sim

It's a great strategy game with an interesting take: You don't control the heroes directly, but you manage the kingdom in order to make them stronger and to motivate them to fight monsters.

When your'e finished with the campaign you can also spend time playing random maps.

I think that despite its age, the game still looks very nice. Also it has a great soundtrack.

I had fun with it but ultimately it fell a bit flat for me: a bit repetitive, a bit predictable, a bit forgettable overall (sorry Licurg!). But totally unique and fun and worth playing for $6 (so wait for a sale.)
