tinyE: Middle of the night, a child molester is dragging a young boy deep onto the woods.

The boy is crying his eyes out and shaking terribly.

Eventually the child molester stops and ask, "What the hell is wrong with you!?"

The boy says, "I'm scared!"

The child molester says, "Kid, you think you're scared, I gotta walk back alone!"
I think that was quite fun. A bit dark but fun it is!

Klumpen0815: What exactly does this have to do with yokai and children?
If you were to ask dtgreene, the answer would be EVERYTHING. Apparently, at the center of the universe is a giant toilet and the yin and yang of space genders are forever in conflict over who gets to use it first.

monkeydelarge: When the younger generations gain power in this world, we are all fucked, seriously.
Where have I heard that before...? Ah, yes:

"The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for
authority, they show disrespect to their elders.... They no longer
rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents,
chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their
legs, and are tyrants over their teachers."

"The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have
no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all
restraint. They talk as if they alone knew everything and what passes
for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for girls, they are
forward, immodest and unwomanly in speech, behaviour and dress."

"I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words... When I was young, we were taught to be discreet and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wise [disrespectful] and impatient of restraint."

“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days; there are signs
that the world is speedily coming to an end; bribery and
corruption are common; children no longer obey their
parents; every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”

FYI, the first three quotes are attributed to ancient Greek philosophers (Socrates, Aristotle and Hesiod) so they are from around 500-700 BC, the last one is from a clay tablet written in cuneiform which is sometimes attributed to the Kingdom of Ur and sometimes to the Kingdom of Assyria which makes it around 4000-5000 years old.

We should begin to worry when nobody is saying things like that anymore.
The moment when everybody thinks "it's good as it is", people will stop improving things.

JudasIscariot: I would rather think of the parents whose job it is to look after their children and that means what kind of entertainment those aforementioned children consume.
This is how parents often learn about these things. We can't play everything. But we can keep our eyes and ears open.

P.S. Thanks for Humongous Games! :)

Basically, that's what I meant :) I've seen far too many parents take little interest as to what their kids are actually doing besides breathing and demanding an allowance :)

I know. People have been saying such things since the beginning of time. Every generation says the younger generations are worse than them. Naturally, every generation is different from each other and humans have a bad habit of seeing people who are too different from them as "degenerates". So this could be the case with the ancient Greek philosophers. But just because such words are similar to a broken record, does that mean similar words spoken today are not true though? It is very possible the movie Idiocracy is a glimpse of our future. Brace yourselves.

Or of course you could look at it thus, that empires/civilisations rise on the back of hardship, strife, and war, then reach a plateux where the subjects do successively become lazier, fatter, less inteligent, less respectful, and hold everything in contempt, until they are half wiped out by the next civilisation/empire on the rise. And so the cycle goes round and round. d

Eldest has been playing Mortal Kombat on the PS3. Now I'm aware it's a violent and graphic game, but I cringed as she put a pair of Sai though her opponents eyes (with very nicely rendered x-rays) and then throw the poor eye-less sap across the arena.

Definitely not a game I'd let any of the other kids play.

Ah yes, of course. Media which has only been around for a few decades is responsible for everything. Nice one, dunno how I made it through my life without committing mass murder, obviously I wasn't playing mk properly.

Verify if its true or not before posting. Looks like you are a victim of an urban legend.

Here is what I don't get about this whole bathroom segregation nonsnse.

You poop

I poop

Everyone poops!

What makes one persons poo more different than anothers? Does it set off a chemical reaction if everyone just uses the same bathroom? If person with a person with X genitals goes to the opposite bathroom does the bathroom somehow get contaminated?

No

Get over yourselves.

Its just POOP!
