mrkgnao: I recommend not using the wiki because I believe many users ignore it.
Part of the problem may be that it is actually not that visible. Took me over a year to realise that there is one and I only got to know about it because someone posted about it in a discussion I was reading :D

Tannath: I see. MaGog is restricted to the same sorting options as everyone else, I didn't think about that. My bad. =S

Couldn't you cake advantage of filters to help along though? Say, one sweep for games released up to 2005 and another for the rest? That way you would be sure to grab them all in 2 sweeps (x20 that is).
I don't trust GOG's filters. Do you?
For example, the Witcher 3 Expansion Pass is listed under the pre-1995 filter. I know why, but still...
Can you guarantee that the sum of the three release date filters will be the full catalogue?

But, as I said, for MaGog the issue is already solved ("patched" would be a more correct term). I just wish GOG would also fix it for the rest of us.

mrkgnao: It depends whether madth3 is up to the task, because it would be beneficial to have an ongoing summary being maintained in the OP.
avatar
Grargar: If madth3 doesn't want to constantly maintain the thread, he could insert a link to his 1st post that would lead to the post of the user responsible for the ongoing summary.
As you imply, the issue is not finding a thread. It's finding a maintainer.

At any rate, DyNaer has already volunteered.
avatar
mrkgnao: Frankly, I find it difficult to keep track in my head of all the bugs afflicting GOG. Is someone up to opening and maintaining a new thread, specifically for tracking bugs and their eventual resolution or lack thereof? You could call it 'The "what did just break?" thread'.
done there -> http://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_break_thread

granted , that's a pain to use the site actually , no blues answer, support always answers the same thing ..... that's a bit depressing.... and my library : it's like a storm devasted it :S

I'd hesitate to guarantee *anything* about those, but at least it seems to check out *for now*. 110 titles listed pre-1995, 413 listed 1995-2005, 492 listed after 2005. Totals up to 1015, which is also the total game count listed.

RWarehall: GoG's games list can only show the first 20 pages or 1000 games. Depending on which view you use, different games will show up on the inaccessible 21st page. By title those would be the Z's. By user rating, those which have no ratings/yet to be released.

mrkgnao: Read here my description and HSL's update: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_update_thread/post7115.
Thanks.
Regarding Age of Wonders III - Mac and Linux release:

I'll leave this here since this thread is probably in everyone's favorites and is bumped every day - http://www.gog.com/forum/general/age_of_wonders_iii_mac_and_linux_users_read

IAmSinistar: The notification system is hopelessly broken for many of us. I myself have not received an actual update notification in a long while, in spite of owning many games which have had updates posted in this thread. And GOG has made it clear that they aren't going to address the issue, since all efforts are being directed into the new user experience instead.

ElTerprise: Okay. Thanks for the clarification - wasn't following that topic that much.... And good to hear that the notification flag vanished :).
Yes, you should take a look into this thread at least once a day to keep your backups up to date. Without mrkgnao we all would be lost.

Thank you for the kind words.

Do you happen to have a backup of the German Cultures 1 installer? If so, can you compare it to the current installer to see if the file itself has somehow changed with the name and size remaining the same (see http://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_what_did_just_update_thread/post7190)?

It did not. I just moved it to another location on a server.

Unfortunately I cannot help you here since I don't have the game at all.
Edit: But it seems that you did not need my help at all anyway because of the fast GOG Ninjas here :)

I usually look at it at release days for the german language games list in the german subforum but i'll favourite it now :).

Thank you for clarifying that!
is there a thread that tracks all removed extras from gog games?

apehater: is there a thread that tracks all removed extras from gog games?
There is a thread about already removed extras
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/removed_extras_on_some_games

but I don't think that there is a trackeing thread and in future releases extras should not be removed anymore after you have bought the game so such thread should not be neccessary at all.
