Fear Equation

Patch 2.0.2 (24th August 2016)

As of this update, Linux players can now experience the nightmarish joys of driving through the fog-filled apocalypse of Fear Equation! Plus, a special treat for custom passengers.

Fear Equation has been updated to version 2.0.2! This patch marks the release of the Linux version of the game.

While we can only officially support Ubuntu 12.04, the game should run on a variety of distributions. A Linux technical demo is available if you'd like to check if the game is compatible with your setup: https://forums.screwflystudios.com/index.php/topic,890.0.html

We've received a number of requests from players asking for a full, customised allotment of passengers and as of 2.0.2, this is now possible! The custom game screen has been tweaked to support up to 150 player-made passengers.

Finally, we've added five achievements based on the mysterious Wanderers. Time to harness the power of the fog for your own ends...

Added: Fear Equation is now available on Linux. Please note the game is only officially supported on Ubuntu 12.04.
Added: It is now possible to have up to 150 custom passengers. The passenger tabs have been replaced with a list that can be sorted by name, occupation and priority.

And here's a tricky one. I've added the changelogs for Walking Dead: Season 1, The and Walking Dead: Season 2, The to the existing changelog thread, which is currently titled "Changelog - The Walking Dead - Season 1".

There's also a "Changelog - The Walking Dead - Michonne - A Telltale Miniseries".

Can the two be merged and renamed to just "Changelog"? And made a sticky?

if not, could at least the former be renamed to just "Changelog - The Walking Dead"? And sticky status for both, in this case, would be appreciated.

Patch 2.1.201 (24 August 2016)
Mission Tuning

CH02 Mission - Stop bug that could cause unlimited spawning of hunters and reduce enemies in the waves to make less difficult at medium and higher difficulties.

CH03 Mission - Fixed howitzers to work as intended and fixed mine field to be effective against player

CH04 Mission - Add an abandoned enemy ship to make the retreat after discovery possible.

CH08 Mission - Adds time to end so final VO completes

CH09 Mission - Reduce difficulty. The longer cover is maintained, the fewer enemies spawned when cover is finally left. Enemies turrets also became single weapon turrets

BD02 Mission - Reduced difficulty.

BD03 Mission - Difficulty tuned, and several object spawning on top of each other issues fixed.

BD04 Mission - Startup issues fixed. Scavenger's shouldn't leave early which made it hard for new players to follow them. Final chase made more survivable while leaving the epic chase feeling intact.
BD06 Mission - Enemy attack waves slightly reduced

General

A number of minor model fixes applied

Fixed error with point lights. Weapon fire shouldn't cause strange reverse shadows anymore.

Chinese Scavenger emissive fixed (strange glow removed)

Patch 1.82 (24th August 2016)

This update is required in order to access the Altarian Prophecy DLC.

Overview

UI Stability improvements: We've increased the number of UI widgets by 4x. Extreme games (e.g large maps, hundreds of fleets, etc.) will be now be more stable. We have also fixed numerous issues with the new notification system.

Gameplay: We've fixed a ship trading exploit and several gameplay bugs. In addition, we have made some treaties free for alliance members.
Rise of the Terrans DLC: Updated campaign to use a new United Earth "classic" ship style that better represents ships of that galactic era. As part of that change, you now can select United Terrans ship style for your custom races and choose from over twenty new "classic" ship parts for your ship designs.

Change Log

Increased the number of UI widgets by 4x. Extreme games (e.g large maps, hundreds of fleets, etc.) will be now be more stable.
Removed a previous change to the autosave system from 1.81 that was causing crashes and corrupting save games in multiplayer.
Stray particle effects from battles were traveling across the galaxy before timing out. This appeared to be a stuck turn. This should no longer happen.
Adjusted AI evaluation of the "Open Borders" and "Non-Aggression Pact" treaties such that these treaties are free for alliance members.
The "ignore defense" ability (from tech such as "Shield Punch") were not properly applying their damage. This has been fixed.
Gave Pirate faction traits user-friendly names since they are showing up in some campaign diplomacy reports.
Ships with "One-Per-Player" components are no longer tradable. This prevents an exploit that allowed players to get around the "One-Per-Player" restriction. These ships are disabled on the trade screen and include a tooltip explaining that they cannot be traded.
The shipyard button "continue making this design until further notice" wasn't checking prereqs when deciding if it should be enabled for a build queue entry.
Notifications no longer interfere with game inputs on the left side of the screen.
Notifications are now refreshed only at the start of the game and start of a new turn. This prevents creates gaps in the list in the mid-turn.
When adding a ship to the build queue, the list will automatically scroll to the bottom. Clicking on shipyards in the Shipyard List now centers the camera on it and select it.
Fixed staked ship bar scaling issues for normal and medium UI
Renamed generic tech tree to "Generic Tech Tree". It was mislabeled as "Terran Tech Tree".
Unowned asteroid fields now say "nearest owned planet" rather than "assigned planet" in their tooltip and selection context.
Fixed a crash caused by alerts that have no tooltip.
Added tooltip to Ship Level entry when viewing single ships on the Fleet Details Window.
Fixed a bug where the Invite Friends dialog would do nothing if the Steam Overlay was disabled. The button is now disabled with a tooltip explaining why.
Fixed bug where a player who dies in a mp game but stays around to watch the other players play would send an invalid match report.

Mercenaries:

Added warning if building a starbase upgrade will consume a constructor with mercenary components on it.
Building a starbase using the Mercenary ship "The Crux" now provides the correct influence bonus.

As of this update, Linux players can now experience the nightmarish joys of driving through the fog-filled apocalypse of Fear Equation! Plus, a special treat for custom passengers.
Fear Equation has been updated to version 2.0.2! This patch marks the release of the Linux version of the game.

- Hey, folks!

- We have just uploaded a new build, version 1.0.4, which should solve some of the critical issues that have been reported.

- Among the most important ones is the sound issue that made the game completely silent on devices set to 192000 Hz. There is also a new fix for the Aphrodite crash that some people were experiencing, hopefully this time for good. And there is also a fix for the bug that made you skip levels if, after killing a boss, Pandora spawned enemies and you defeated them.

- There are also some other fixes in this version, that aim to address a variety of other issues, but are going to continue working on the remaining problems (and any new one that may arise).

- Asides bug fixing, there are two new things we would like to tell you about. One is that the OST is now presented both in MP3 and FLAC formats, instead of solely on MP3 as it was before. And the other one is that Okhlos' trading cards are finally up! Everyone should be able to see them now. We hope you like them!

Overview

- UI Stability improvements: We've increased the number of UI widgets by 4x. Extreme games (e.g large maps, hundreds of fleets, etc.) will be now be more stable. We have also fixed numerous issues with the new notification system.

- Gameplay: We've fixed a ship trading exploit and several gameplay bugs. In addition, we have made some treaties free for alliance members.

- Rise of the Terrans DLC: Updated campaign to use a new United Earth "classic" ship style that better represents ships of that galactic era. As part of that change, you now can select United Terrans ship style for your custom races and choose from over twenty new "classic" ship parts for your ship designs.

- Removed a previous change to the autosave system from 1.81 that was causing crashes and corrupting save games in multiplayer.
- Stray particle effects from battles were traveling across the galaxy before timing out. This appeared to be a stuck turn. This should no longer happen.
- Adjusted AI evaluation of the "Open Borders" and "Non-Aggression Pact" treaties such that these treaties are free for alliance members.
- The "ignore defense" ability (from tech such as "Shield Punch") were not properly applying their damage. This has been fixed.
- Gave Pirate faction traits user-friendly names since they are showing up in some campaign diplomacy reports.
- Ships with "One-Per-Player" components are no longer tradable. This prevents an exploit that allowed players to get around the "One-Per-Player" restriction. These ships are disabled on the trade screen and include a tooltip explaining that they cannot be traded.
- The shipyard button "continue making this design until further notice" wasn't checking prereqs when deciding if it should be enabled for a build queue entry.
- Notifications no longer interfere with game inputs on the left side of the screen.
- Notifications are now refreshed only at the start of the game and start of a new turn. This prevents creates gaps in the list in the mid-turn.
- When adding a ship to the build queue, the list will automatically scroll to the bottom.
Clicking on shipyards in the Shipyard List now centers the camera on it and select it.
- Fixed staked ship bar scaling issues for normal and medium UI
- Renamed generic tech tree to "Generic Tech Tree". It was mislabeled as "Terran Tech Tree".
- Unowned asteroid fields now say "nearest owned planet" rather than "assigned planet" in their tooltip and selection context.
- Fixed a crash caused by alerts that have no tooltip.
- Added tooltip to Ship Level entry when viewing single ships on the Fleet Details Window.
- Fixed a bug where the Invite Friends dialog would do nothing if the Steam Overlay was disabled. The button is now disabled with a tooltip explaining why.
- Fixed bug where a player who dies in a mp game but stays around to watch the other players play would send an invalid match report.

Crucible
Smoothed out the probability of earning Epics and Legendaries in the Crucible across all difficulties. Overall rewards should come more predictably.
Defeating the Crucible's 150th wave now always drops at least one Legendary item, with additional guaranteed Legendaries by difficulty.
Increased loot gained at waves 1-10 for characters just starting out.
Fixed an issue with the Wave 50 and 100 Checkpoints not properly activating in Multiplayer.
Wave 50 and 100 Checkpoints are now unlocked across all Crucibles, rather than just the Crucible on which they were earned. This change is not retroactive and necessitated an update to the save file format (save files loaded in 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 are incompatible with earlier versions).
New Tokens are now available for sale at the Crucible Vendor that unlock the respective difficulty for the character that uses them. Tokens are available for sale respectively on the difficulty they unlock. These Tokens can be placed in the Transfer Stash to use on your other characters. Those that have access to Gladiator difficulty only need to purchase the Gladiator token for their characters.
Adjusted difficulty scaling at highest waves on Champion and Gladiator difficulties, overall a slight nerf to monsters.
Crucible Defenses now cost different quantities of Iron Bits based on difficulty, with Aspirant and Challenger cheaper and Gladiator retaining the original values.
Removed XP Penalty for dying during the event and smoothed out the XP curve. Overall, should result in a more gradual levelling experience in the Crucible rather than a snowballing one. This is a net significant buff to XP gains.
Reduced Tribute cost for Devotion Points 5-50.
Reduced % Reflect damage from monsters in the Crucible by 70%
Reduced chance to spawn multiple instances of Fabius and the Iron Maiden in Wave 150. On Aspirant difficulty, there will never be duplicates of these Nemesis bosses.
The Blacksmith in the Crucible can now craft Dynamite. Dynamite can now also drop from the chests.
Celestial Blessings now include additional pet bonuses which persist through pet resummons. Prior to resummoning your pets, this is a net buff, so maintaining the same pet from the moment you activate the Blessing is quite potent.
Ulzuin's Pact now grants pets 15% Total Speed, as they are not affected by Cooldown Reduction.
The Vital Essence that appears at the end of a set of waves now also restores some health and energy.

Tech
Improved monster ability to recognize barriers when firing ranged attacks. Monsters are now likely to reposition themselves if a ranged attack strikes an obstacle rather than the intended target.
Pets such as the Raven familiar and the Blighted Rift Scourge will now attempt to reposition themselves whenever they shoot at obstacles rather than the intended target.
Fixes for doors that would cause invisible blockers.
Fix for pet status frames that would never be destroyed.
Increased maximum distance for experience gain in multiplayer games.
Fixed a bug that would cause score discrepancies in multiplayer Crucible games.

Adjusted the damage dealt by the Nemesis Fabius and Iron Maiden such that their special attacks are significantly less dependent upon their weapons, resulting in more predictable damage.

Patch 1.3.000 (25 August 2016)

- Models of dwarves were significantly improved, were modified old animations and added new.
- Increased base speed of dwarves. For various armor added parameter – agility, which affect on dwarf’s movement speed.
- Improved dwarves AI. Idle dwarves can take tasks by themselves inside the shelter: patrolling the perimeter, eating food, have a rest, removing bushes, preparing dishes, improving furniture, hunting pests.
- Added dialog with common statistic for each dwarf – how much monsters he destroyed, how many blocks dig etc.
- Added additional slot to the dwarf’s equipment.
- If player sends a dwarf for sleep but shelter’s boundaries have been broken then dwarf notify about this.
- Released ability of mass building/replacing the several blocks. You should select block, then move cursor through the level while holding down the right mouse button.
- Spiders now can create colonies by increasing their population. The more older spider the more dangerously it becomes.
- Inside the shelter with insufficient comfort may arrive the rat’s nest. Rats fill the shelter, eat food from tables, destroy wheat fields and could become dangerous.
- Temporary portals opened with spell can be closed now by player.
- Added lightning and sound of thunder during the heavy rain.
- Dwarves improve mage skill when preparing elixirs. Swimmer skill improves when dwarf get into the water, climber skill improves when dwarf climbs at the wall 5 blocks high.
- Archer’s skill increases speed of shooting.
- Wooden stuff now available earlier in the tech tree.
- Added new equipment item – parachute which helps dwarves to jump from any height without damage.
- Added popup dialog with major parameters for weapon, armor and tools.
- Hens on farm lay eggs even if their population reached the maximum level.
- Fixed bug when goblin drops the steeled loot after every kick.
- Fixed bug with direct control of dwarf when he was waiting for elevator.

Crucible

- Smoothed out the probability of earning Epics and Legendaries in the Crucible across all difficulties. Overall rewards should come more predictably.
- Defeating the Crucible's 150th wave now always drops at least one Legendary item, with additional guaranteed Legendaries by difficulty.
- Increased loot gained at waves 1-10 for characters just starting out.
- Fixed an issue with the Wave 50 and 100 Checkpoints not properly activating in Multiplayer.
- Wave 50 and 100 Checkpoints are now unlocked across all Crucibles, rather than just the Crucible on which they were earned. This change is not retroactive and necessitated an update to the save file format (save files loaded in 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2 are incompatible with earlier versions).
- New Tokens are now available for sale at the Crucible Vendor that unlock the respective difficulty for the character that uses them. Tokens are available for sale respectively on the difficulty they unlock. These Tokens can be placed in the Transfer Stash to use on your other characters. Those that have access to Gladiator difficulty only need to purchase the Gladiator token for their characters.
- Adjusted difficulty scaling at highest waves on Champion and Gladiator difficulties, overall a slight nerf to monsters.
- Crucible Defenses now cost different quantities of Iron Bits based on difficulty, with Aspirant and Challenger cheaper and Gladiator retaining the original values.
- Removed XP Penalty for dying during the event and smoothed out the XP curve. Overall, should result in a more gradual levelling experience in the Crucible rather than a snowballing one. This is a net significant buff to XP gains.
- Reduced Tribute cost for Devotion Points 5-50.
- Reduced % Reflect damage from monsters in the Crucible by 70%
- Reduced chance to spawn multiple instances of Fabius and the Iron Maiden in Wave 150. On Aspirant difficulty, there will never be duplicates of these Nemesis bosses.
- The Blacksmith in the Crucible can now craft Dynamite. Dynamite can now also drop from the chests.
- Celestial Blessings now include additional pet bonuses which persist through pet resummons. Prior to resummoning your pets, this is a net buff, so maintaining the same pet from the moment you activate the Blessing is quite potent.
- Ulzuin's Pact now grants pets 15% Total Speed, as they are not affected by Cooldown Reduction.
- The Vital Essence that appears at the end of a set of waves now also restores some health and energy.

Tech

- Improved monster ability to recognize barriers when firing ranged attacks. Monsters are now likely to reposition themselves if a ranged attack strikes an obstacle rather than the intended target.
- Pets such as the Raven familiar and the Blighted Rift Scourge will now attempt to reposition themselves whenever they shoot at obstacles rather than the intended target.
- Fixes for doors that would cause invisible blockers.
- Fix for pet status frames that would never be destroyed.
- Increased maximum distance for experience gain in multiplayer games.
- Fixed a bug that would cause score discrepancies in multiplayer Crucible games.

Game

- Adjusted the damage dealt by the Nemesis Fabius and Iron Maiden such that their special attacks are significantly less dependent upon their weapons, resulting in more predictable damage.
- The Nemesis Zantarin now casts his Vitality Barrage more slowly and the cast gives off a more prominent visual cue.
- Improved targeting of radius attacks such as Ring of Steel and Callidor's Tempest when targeting larger enemies.
- Fixed an issue with common Order of Death's Vigil enemies not granting infamy.
- Renamed the Rare Suffix "Desolation" to "Scorched Ends" to distinguish it from the Relic Desolation.
