There are many more deserving members but this list would go on forever if I didn't stop here. Thankfully there seem to be more good than bad people around in the forums.

I lost my post the other day due to a misstype and I procastrinated in coming back. Sorry!
My nominations are slightly chronological and grouped by reasons.

I want to start by nominating the first two guys I remember from the tracking thread in my first sale here: IAmSinistar and HypersomniacLive. They were fun and nice, helping people who had questions or missed a deal (ah, Insomnia...). Now, we've shared jokes, I've been the recipient of their wisdom, their generosity and they are great pals to have.

Once I started frequenting the forums, one of the great resources I found was the knowledge of JMich and Grargar. Each in their own way they are alway willing to lend a hand and help those of us needing some information.

Another resource were the tools developed by Barefoot_Monkey and mrkgnao which result in a much better GOG. They faced a big hurdle with the new design but they rose with the challenge. There were some new name in the efforts to patch what was broken and I'll single out ChrisSD just for the completness of his script.

The BBBBoB would be enough merit to nominate Sachys and foxworks because the time required to coordinate that GA (collect games, link lists, check participants, etc.) is a big gift to the community. Nevertheless they're alway there to participate and I've always find their posts useful/enjoyable/fun.

Some folks who I've came to meet later were Ragnarblackmane, trentonlf, ddickinson and BillyMaysFan59. You may have seen them hosting giveaways here and there. What is special about them is the way they do things and how they engage the participants and create a fun/positive atmosphere. Yeah I know I'm naming the host but I could not left her out.

Finally I have to include tinyE and Licurg for making me laugh out loud many times.

I know I've left out some nice guys, some gifters but I choose to restrict myself to the ones I have much more present.


To ddickinson: Thanks for the GA and for the positive spin you always try to imprint on things. :-)

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate someone. Especially those who gave such wonderful reasons. I had initially wanted to do this not just for the prizes, but to allow people to thank and display their appreciation for many of the generous, helpful and friendly members there are here on the GOG forum. It has been very nice to see such a large selection of members getting mentioned. Unfortunately I can not give everyone a game, but hopefully seeing your name nominated here is more important than a game, as it shows how valued you are to people on the forum.

Some quick facts: There have been over 350+ nominations, from over 50 nominators, with almost 100 members nominated. I think that if I ever do a similar giveaway in the future, I will think of a more practical method than a manual paper raffle to pick the winners. Writing down 100 names and folding 100 pieces of paper is not the most stimulating of things to do :-).

And now onto the winners. I decided to slightly change how I pick the winners. Instead of picking a nominator first and then picking a winner from the people they nominated, I just placed all of the nominees in the draw and picked one at random. I felt this would give everyone a fairer chance at winning. I also did the same for the second prize, rather than just include the top 10, I included everyone who was nominated to make it more fair. For the final draw, I added the nominators names to the draw and picked the winners.

FIRST PRIZE ($19.99):
The first lucky winner, for the $19.99 price is... DDickinson, Yay! Oh wait, that's me :-). I had put my name into the draw just for fun and to see if I would win anything, and it seems I won the first prize, which is just my luck to win something when I'm not eligible. But as I excluded myself from the giveaway, and put my name in just for fun, I picked another name to be the real winner of the $19.99 prize. The actual real winner of the $19.99 prize is the very generous IAmSinistar!

SECOND PRIZE ($9.99):
The second winner, who will receive the $9.99 prize, goes to the sweetest person I have met on GOG, the lovely Sage103082!

THIRD PRIZE ($5.99):
Originally I had planned to pick one winner for each price range ($19.99, $9.99 & $5.99), but after seeing so many wonderful names mentioned, I decided to quadruple the number of $5.99 prizes. So I have picked 4 winners instead of just 1.
