dr.schliemann: Well, it was a feeling, We could call it low-tech, retro-style.
And now I can add it had the most peculiar, unusual, unique (beautiful?) cauldron ever.
DaCostaBR: I just watched little snippets here and there so I just didn't know where you were coming from.
I hear the Olympic pyre and the sculpture was moved from the stadium to downtown after the ceremony, and it's going to be kept there for the next few weeks. I think it's cool, that way more people get to see it.
A few games ago they had that problem, forget where, and the host city got a lot of shit for it. "Technically" you are supposed to be able to see the flame from every venue. Now obviously in today's world this is impossible because these venues are spread out of hundreds of miles, but in this particular case, you couldn't even see the flame from just outside the stadium. :P I would imagine the folks in Rio made note of this and it seems like they did a good job here.
So far so good. We've just started, but Brazil gets an A+ from me to this point.
