pimpmonkey2382.313: Yeah I understand your opinion, just me myself I couldn't see myself justifying it, when I can buy a few of the more popular real carts for that. Though I wouldn't buy boxed either. So probably quite a few really.
well i did a little looking on ebay nl and these are the games and price tags i encountered
there are just the game sin the list on the mini nes
no boxes

zelda 1 cart only : 53 euro
zelda 2 cart only 33 euro
super c cart only 32 euro
gradius 16 euro
punch out 24 euro
metroid 50 euro
double dragon II 11 euro
mario bros 1 2 and 3 together with kirby and tmnt 55 euro
and a complete nes with mario bros 68 euro

grand total 342 euro for a nes with 12 games and no boxes everything is loose
i can have a ps4 for that

and i barley got half of the games the mini nes has

and this excludes all the shipping costs as well

Holy fuck, to hell with that. Much higher than the prices here for about all of those. I completely see your point at least in Europe.
Ohh interesting if the price is right indeed... like 59 euros IMHO i'd buy it! Miss Battle of Olympus in the selection though...

drewpants: Would have liked Temco Wrestling rather than Bowlng, but other than that I want one. :-)
It is not a bowling game but, american football game.

Here anyway SNES seems MUCH worse with game prices, console prices are about in line with NES. But snes games seem to dwarf NES carts. NES the popular carts are more pricey than I would like but not outside of the realm of what I'd pay anyway. Unless it's something really rare like stadium events, which I'd never buy anyway.
Well, it's not too bad of a selection (I'm pleasantly surprised to see third party games there) or a price, and it's a lot less shady/janky than those other probably unlicensed retro multi systems.

though yeah it would be nice if you could expand the games you could play on it (even if it's just limited to the ones on the wii vc), or if it at least had something like Solomon's Key or Adventures of Lolo instead of say Double Dragon to give it a bit more variety.
Funny thing is, SNES model 2 was pretty much a clone job.

but they included double dragon II
which is the superior of the 3 titles

the snes is a bit more sane here
you can have one for 50 euro or one with games for 99

but they are still more expensive then i want to pay for 26 year old games

I don't agree with a lot of peoples problems with clones, if they know which ones to get, can do a simple mod. i'd rather get one of those than say, the NES model 2 which profiteers like to jack the price on into the hundreds of dollars and has shittier video than even some of the clones.

the model 2 was never released here
i'd have to import it
the price tags dont seem to be all that crazy though

I'd say most if not all clones made by retro bit are very good quality and have good compatibility. FC twin feels really sturdy for a clone, has the best audio video on both the NES and SNES sides. Has less compatiblity than the retro duo out of the box. But do the mod and you're good to go. I'd stay away from anything from hyperkin though, their quality usually sucks all round, the compatibility is worse, the audio usually sucks more than any of the others. The official SNES model 2 won't play stuff like star fox or Doom correctly though, while even the FC twin will.
If this was about 30 bucks cheaper, I'd be all over this. $60 is a little to high I think.
I hope it is possible to modify it in some way (like playing different games) but knowing Nintendo that seems unlikely. Let's wait and see.
