pimpmonkey2382.313: Nah, not a NOAC I'm guessing it's an emulation box, sort of like the atgames genesis systems.
avatar
snowkatt: reagrdless im certain it wil all be emulation
Well, NOAC's aren't really emulation.
avatar
snowkatt: so add in bullshit euro inflation and vauge addition to the total

79 euro ?
I wouldn't put it past them, as I'm pretty sure Nintendo is arrogant enough to think they'd actually get away with selling this for only 20€ less than, for example, a 2DS.

I am somewhat hopeful that they won't go overboard with this, though.

They're still not emulation, they aren't running any sort of software emulator. They're pretty much famicoms condensed to a single chip. And they could feasibly be 100% compatible and no different audio/visual wise. But it depends on how lazy/cheap most of the chinese makers are.

very lazy and cheap im sure
and this will be an emulation box
all the titles on this machine are vc titles thats why there is super C but not contra

nintendo no doubt whipped together a super cheap little system and loaded it up with VC roms and their emulations layers

you can use a wii pro controller after all
considering the 30 games here collected are together 150 euro and with a hdmi upscaler this is still a pretty decent deal if it stays under 99
and preferably under 79

if it has more then 1 usb port or a sd card reader then we are talking

I'd say SOME clones are really well done (FC twin for audio visual, retro duo for compatibility.) And you can mod them for I'd say about 99.9% compatibility And the mod is really easy to do. I'd almost rather have one of those than the real NES top loader. I say nintendo should have released this box for around $40-50 range. Nice selection of games, but I wouldn't want this simply for HDMI.

Yeah I'd definitely stay out of it for 79 euro if it were me. But if you don't have any access to legit NES games, and absolutely need HDMI and/or just want to collect and have money to burn, why not?

i can have legit nes games but the problem is the console alone is 99 euro or more
and the used games are ridicilous
you can easily blow 500 or more

for 79 euro i'd be in not just cause it has hdmi out but also because it comes with 30 games

nes games have a ridicilously inflated price tag id rath rbuy this

if the price isnt insane off course

Huh, odd. Around here you can get a toaster model NES for around $30-40. Usually bare for that price but you can get knock off accessories to at least get you started for really cheap. Wonder why it's so high there?

at a guess its because the nes was never much of a powerhouse here
it was popular yes but it it didnt had the all encompassing monopoly it had in the usa
over here the master system was popular
there was the amstrad cpc
the msx
the spectrum
the amiga
the atari st
the megadrive also got traction in 1990

the nes market was also fractured

and people are only now getting interested in the nes
a quick search on ebay nl shows a nes consoles averages from 37 ( with out anything ) to 67 to 99 and up
more if its boxed

a boxed version of zelda is 60 euro

so yeah a mini nes for 79 euro and 30 games is rather enticing

Yeah I'd never go for anything boxed, I would never be that kind of "collector". But yeah "collectors" (more like profiteers) seem to love to drive up prices here also. What I would do if it's feasible get the bare system, cheap knock off accessories. Then at least you'd be at least in the NES scene. I got pretty lucky, bought a pair of FC Twin clones for about $15 total. One works perfectly, the other the NES side has bent cartridge pins. The one with the bent pins I gave to a friend so if he can repair it, it'll be fully working also and if not it'll be a back up SNES for him also. And bought some knock off accessories, with the compatibility mod, pretty much got an almost fully compatible NES/SNES combo for about $20.

a barebones system is still 37 euro though
thats about 50 dollars

and let alone the games
like i said if the price is right financially this makes more sense

Yeah I understand your opinion, just me myself I couldn't see myself justifying it, when I can buy a few of the more popular real carts for that. Though I wouldn't buy boxed either. So probably quite a few really.

On that note though, I'd really love to see a master system clone (that takes carts), and a turbo grafx clone (that will play the cards) I would snatch one of those up quickly. The profiteers got to those systems now. I'd say 10 years ago, I was able to buy a master system bare for about 10 bucks, now can't get one of those for under 40-50. And about the same for turbo grafx.
