Non-ancient JRPS don't require grinding; anybody who says they do (and *especially* anyone who refers to a Final Fantasy that isn't one of the Famicom/NES ones) is delusional.

Of note, when I played FF7, at one point I spent a half hour earning XP and AP (the goal was to learn Life 2), and it ruined any difficulty that might have been left in the game.

Also (and I believe I mentioned this in a different thread some time ago), my preferred pronouns are female pronouns (she/her); please respect that.

In all seriousness, I would actually like to see a well-made game that uses the same concept; namely the idea that, when you die, you switch control to another character, and have to find a way to switch back before that character reaches the same point at which you died.

And, dtgreene, I don't think ANY of us go out of our way to read all of your posts. They aren't THAT interesting.

The games aren't all that challenging but they really are quite a lot of fun.
